Tournament Fighters Competitive Community
I'm happy to pass along this announcement courtesy of some fellow fans who aren't yet able to open Drome accounts. I have been following the progress of this labor of love on social media channels, and here's an opportunity for more fans to join in to create the ultimate version of TMNT: Tournament Fighters for perpetual competitive play and enjoyment.
And for the next few days, there's an opportunity to win some free swag: Quote:

I wonder if this means improved HD graphics or if it's just minor stuff. Either way, it's worth a look.

I don't know if I'd call what I've seen "HD" because I think it's still an SNES game at its core. But it will have a variety of new color palettes, some gameplay balances, and some newly sprited characters influenced by the NES and Genesis rosters.
And there's also some crossover games planned with older titles like Justice League: Task Force, but I imagine those are a long ways off.

I recall watching some competitive SNES TMNT TF on youtube way back in 2007-2008 already. Mostly by Japanese players. I think it's a rather small/niche scene but exists.

So I take it they're ignoring the Mega Drive game?

This is primarily SNES based, but there are people working on integrating references to the Genesis version (Casey Jones and new sprites of April similar to her Sega appearance).
