Wow, yea. Sounds pretty crazy. Six years ago teachers couldn't get jobs on LI. Now schools are fighting over them. It's crazy. Good luck to your friend. Lord knows I probably run into her three times a month. LI is a small place. Lol

Thanks. Yeah, I'm wishing her luck too. And juggling a dumbass husband and two kids. I've known her half my life (20 years), so that's a long time! I have been to LI quite a few times. It's a nice place I think. In parts reminded me of here, even with all the place name cribs heh.

Someone else I knew on LI was a music teacher some years back and lost her position, got into bankruptcy and legal work instead, so I'm somewhat aware of the whole teaching position swing fest

See you there!

Also might be time to start compiling a master list of Turtles artists for this years NYCC. Here's who I've found from a quick scan of the Artist Alley list (please add to it if you find others):

KEVIN EASTMAN
Eric Talbot
Cory Smith
Billy Martin
Caleb Goellner
Derek Charm
Khary Randolph
Erik Larsen
Peter David
David Petersen
Michael Dialynas
Chris Uminga
Ben Bishop
James Silvani
Valerio Schiti
Walter Simonson
Rich Buckler
Stephen Mooney
Bryan Turner
Jerry Gaylord
Penelope Gaylord
Tony Kordos
Chris Eliopoulos
John Giang
Stephen Murphy
Michael Zulli
Robert Rodriguez

no tmnt published (that I'm aware of) but extensive fan art:
Matteo Scalera
Sean Murphy
Victor Castro

AND its not on the schedule yet for whatever reason, but the Nick show will be holding its regular panel on Thursday 10/8 @ 2pm (source: http://nickalive.blogspot.com/2015/0...ge-mutant.html)

EDIT: Went back through the AA list again name by name, and flushed things out a bit more above. Many of these people just did a cover or two, but they all worked on TMNT in some fashion. I'm sure there are still more, so please feel free to add!

EDIT 2: added Chris Eliopoulos (Image letterer) & John Giang (concept artist for platinum dunes movie), and took off Skottie Young (I guess he canceled, bummer!)

EDIT 3: Stephen Murphy & Michael Zulli will be at NYCC promoting the rerelease of the collected Puma Blues. They'll have signings on Thursday and Friday at the Dover Publications booth.

EDIT 4: Kevin Eastman will be doing a signing on Saturday with director Robert Rodriguez for their variant cover for IDW #50 (http://tmnt-ninjaturtles.com/assets/...bscription.jpg) at the IDW booth!

Martin Griffiths is listed as going, he did the daily mail comic strips back in the '90s, I'm pretty excited!! I'm also trying to find out if he had anything to do with the PG Tips artwork, can't seem to find out who did that.

Nice 2015

So I managed to get a couple of really great pieces at NICE con today in Bedford, the first is an Eastman/Brown/Bisley print. Ryan Brown who did the colours and Simon Bisley who inked it very kindly signed it for me, both top notch guys.

The second is a sketch I had done by Martin Griffiths who did the Daily Mail newspaper Tmnt strip, he was super nice and seemed quite surprised I'd tracked him down for Tmnt stuff. All in all an awesome day out!

I asked because a mate of mine is at NICE, and hopefully he'll get something from Bisley while there. I shall wait to see how that transpires!

Anyone attending Baltimore ComicCon this weekend? I live in the area, but it just isn't in the cards this year for me.

Buuuuuuuuut...if anyone does go and happens to snag an extra IDW linked covers lithograph, if gladly take it off their hands at full price plus a little extra on top for the effort.

Oh right, I had no idea IDW was selling a lithograph of it at the show. I know someone who is there, so I'll see if he can pick up one for me.

I sucked it up and went down. Grabbed the lithograph and set up a Talbot commission.

Some nice turtles exclusives will be available at NYCC this year from IDW:
https://www.idwpublishing.com/idw-an...15-exclusives/

If anyone would like me to pick up either the lithograph or con exclusive cover of #50 for them send me a PM. Full disclosure: I'll only resell for $30 each (including shipping). Yes it's price jacking, but I'm in the process of buying a house and could use the funds. I'll only buy extras if people message me before the con so don't worry, I'm not going to buy out their stock and flood ebay with dozens of these later.

In other NYCC news it looks like the Nick TMNT panel finally made its way to the Main Stage! Attendees, remember to line up first thing Thursday to get a wristband for the panel later that day!

I'll be at NYCC. Does anybody know where the signing with Seth Green and everyone at the panel is? It was at IDW last year, wondering if it's the same?

Pumped Kevin Eastman is going to be there now. Wonder if he's charging for autographs?
