I really need to get that Visual History book. How far does it go up to? PD 2014?
I have less money than all the things cost, but I want/need all the things.

And yes, up to PD 2014 for Visual History.

Finished Volume 1 last night; I'm pretty sure this is where I left the series. Can't wait to read new material tonight in Volume 2

Rereading the series, I've found that the issues overall improve by volume 2. Year one had some great concepts but the execution was better in year two, imo.

According to Amazon, Volume 3 ships in August (though given past books, expect some delays).

Halfway through Volume 2 right now(just finished the Fugitoid One-Shot) and I already agree with you.

Completely falling in love with this universe. I'm beginning to understand the hype

I'm pretty grateful for how far the book has come. It truly has improved.

Any word on if these collections will eventually include the TMNT Universe comics as well, or will that be its own collection?

I assume that TMNTU will be collected in its own TPBs first and eventually if it does well enough hardcovers

going by Transformers IDW rules, when it gets to the point where Universe takes place, it will be added to the book in canon order.

like for example.

lets say volume 7 goes Main issue 61, 62, Universe 1, 2, 3, Mini-series issue 1-4, Universe 4, Main issue 63, 64

I was just wondering this as well!

Seems that they should collect everything canon and relevant to the main story. Bobby might have the knowledge, but he isn't actually involved in the collection department.

I think all the stories they do will be canon, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. Maybe they'll do another Deviations/What If? story down the line.

It would be neat if they were collected in the same volume of hardcovers but that may get to be difficult if they jump around in chronology to the point where stories would fit in between issues that were already published in collections

Yeah, saw it on Rich's blog. Loving it.

Still can't stop thinking about what future covers will be...

Shredder? Donatello? Metalhead? Krang?

Not that it really matters, but why is Duncan still doing covers for these? If I'm not mistaken, most of, if not all of his TMNT work is in that first book. Shouldn't the covers be done by an artist that's actually in the book you're reading?

IDK, just a pet peeve of mine.

Eh, it's kind of a tradition with the IDW Collections for other franchises; to use the original artist for the covers.

The Transformers: IDW Collections volumes 1-8 all had cover art by EJ Su, the original artist for the series, even for the volumes that collected issues from after his run.

I always liked his art, so this is just fine with me.
