Hooray? If people need a holiday to motivate them to get something for their significant other, they're doing it wrong.

Yay, as an employee of a company that tends to be blamed for it even existing commercially... my crazy work week is done. (Next it's the heavy load of changing holidays.)

Happy Valentine's, Turtle people. (Whether you bought anything from my employer or not, but is so, thanks on their behalf. )

We got each other action figures and had some Sexy Fun Time, then we got Chinese food. So I got no complaints.

Can I just say that it's a shame that the kid boxes of school Valentines don't really even try anymore?

Back in the day there was at least a little effort to do something cute with them.
Spoiler:
(Though I'll never understand the one where Raph looks like he has a knight's helmet and...a jump rope? lol)

Nowadays, it's more like this. Stock art and just barely say anything, and certainly nothing clever.
Spoiler:

'Rise' isn't the only offender, as some of those done by 2012 and 2003 both seem a little forced or sorta lazy themselves, but 'Rise' really tops the rest on the "not even trying" scale. (The pencil in this case is kinda cool though.)

I did laugh to myself when I was in my local store this year, walking down the isle that had the Valentines gifts and among chocolate, alcohol, plushies etc was anti aging cream... not sure how well that would go down as a romantic gift

I honestly think that would make the significant other break down in tears, and not the joyful kind either

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

I'm gonna guess this would more likely come from a long time partner or spouse who knows you use it and bought it among other bath products etc. Not quite the same thing as that new person you've started dating and got all caught up with... not appropriate there

That's pretty funny. Yeah, that's like the ONLY way that would ever be okay. "I know you were running out and I'm bad at gifts, so..." lol

Does anyone ever watch Live PD and catch the part last night with the lady who claimed the marjuana in her car was her Valentine's gift to someone? lol Keeping it classy... lol But she claimed that the baked goods were not "edibles" as the cops suspected, but of course they were. I mean, she made cute cake pops, heart brownies, etc and put a lot of work into it, but really, come on. lol

Hey my wife asks for weed as a gift whenever the opportunity arises Especially if someone was just gonna give her cash, since that's what she'd most likely spend it on anyway.

Never know, they could'a been telling the truth.

Had a nice V Day, started with getting candy and a rose from a couple of coworkers, which they did for all us ladies. then I got home to a package of heavenly cinnamon rolls from Mr. D's mom, which we have been munching on for breakfasts this weekend. (I ate most of them, since he can't have a lot of sweets, and these are SUPER high in sugar/carbs....) He got me some bath bombs a couple of weeks ago as an early gift, and last night I used the rose one- I now smell like roses, and omg are those things amazing! I also bought him four pairs of satiny boxers, a card, and a muscle car calendar, and myself a bouquet of roses. (He can't get out much anymore, so I usually end up buying the flowers myself, because I just love roses.) He also ordered a pair of Galaxy roses for me, but those never came (supposed to be here by now) so he ended up having to ask for a refund. Kinda bummed, but no big deal.
