Ra's shouldn't be in gotham Bruce is still only like 16. This show has finally gone into No ****s given territory. Stop trying to cram in every Rouge from Batman while Bruce is a child

Ra's is immortal so that's probably why he's here. But yeah, this show has crossed the point of no return.

The recap popped up just after the episode finished. Thoughts on The Riddler now that he is official? Its been a two and two-thirds season build up.

People still watch this? Gotham is a Cluster**** of a show I gave up mid season 3 Supergirl is more worth it to watch. This show needs to be canned.

So much hate. Personally I am enjoying the ride! About time Nygma went full-Riddler. Bruce may still be young but everyone tends to forget he had to start somewhere- as did his villains! And with him currently prisoner of the Court of Owls FAR from Gotham, it looks like Eddie and all the other once and future Arkham residents are going to have a field day. At least until Bruce finally dons the cowl. Which may be sooner than we think. Glad Penggie is alive and wwas excited to see Ivy again. People really should just relax and have fun with this show. Its just so full of surprises and interesting character takes.

To each their own. But from the episodes I saw and from what I read/been told happens later on in the show regarding the characters, it sounds like bad fan fiction to me. Plus I simply hate the concept of Superhero prequel TV shows.

I still wish we got an actual adaptation of Gotham Central. At least there you can have as many Batman villains as you want appear on the show without Batman himself making a full appearance considering he made minor cameos in the comic of the same name.

Hmm. Fan fiction? Maybe. BAD fan fiction? Not really. Thing is, everything that has happened has been leading Bruce and Jim along their paths later on. And it all makes sense and fits the version of Bruce's world they have built. Sure the show has had a few missteps, but no more than any of the CW DC shows.

There's a few villains that wouldn't be the worst thing in a show like Gotham with Lil Bruce:

* Ra's al Ghul (he's Immortal, why not?)
* Mr. Freeze (he's an old guy)
* Penguin (he's older)

Nobody else belongs on the show. Not without a big time lapse.

It should've either been Young Gordon on the GCPD doing good, knocking down the old crimelords with the sparing, super sparing use of any Batman villains OR modern day Gordon on the GCPD doing good, with an occasional Batman appearance or at least influence.

And no, this is nothing like Smallville (though that's poo too). It would be, if Smallville was about Little Clark attending Smallville Elementary while, like, Maggie Sawyer over in Metropolis contends with the rise of Doomsday, Brainiac, Mongul and Lex Luthor.

Who said it was like Smallville? I was talking about the current shows. They ALL have had their ups and downs.

As for "little Bruce" he's already aged five years on the show, and is training for his future goals (Alfred helping him without knowing exactly WHAT he's helping Bruce FOR....). So it's interesting to see how both Bruce and some of his villains are growing and evolving. Especially Oswald and Edward. Those two (and previously Fish whom I LOVED) have been the main focus, but it's been fun to see others pop up and begin their journeys too.

Dagnabbit I missed most of last night's episode because our tv reception went wonky right as it was starting and we ended up losing the signal on our anntenna. Could NOT get it back and lost the channel entirely! So, no Lucifer last night either. All I know was Oswald and Ivy went to find Friese(how is he alive again? I forget?) and gave him back his suit. That was as much as I could make out before we lost it completely.

Still not happy about Catwoman.

Why are they pronouncing Fries like French Fries? It is spelled the same way but its pronounced like his codename 'freeze'.

The more seasons Gotham gets the more villains we'll get and the more it'll distance itself from any normal Batman continuity, we all knew this going in.

Bruce just wasn't needed in this series, it could've been done without him and that way it wouldn't have mattered as much.

Yes he is needed. He is part of everything that happens. Whether it was Gordon promising to find his parent's killer or meeting Selina or even his dad's digging into the Court of Owls- Bruce is a piece of the puzzle. An important one. Even more so now with the Clone taking his place while he is off in- wherever he is. And Penguin and Ivy getting cozy.

Of course he's needed now because they've written him into the show but if they had set up the show as "Gotham" when Bruce Wayne was out and about training to eventually become Batman so in his early 20s then they could've had a show where it didn't matter if they introduced villains since it could've still made sense, instead we have adult rogues when Bruce is a kid.

I've only watched the first season and I enjoyed it a lot, so I'm not complaining a lot but they really run down to the same problems Smallville had. It's what we want to see but by doing it its making the continuity be wildly different from what we expect.
