Grant Imahara dead at 49
Grant Imahara of Mythbusters fame has passed away at the age of 49. The death was sudden, brought on by an aneurysm.
While not immediately recognizable, Imahara is known for working on Mythbusters and the Star Wars prequels. He also invented Geoff Peterson, Craig Ferguson's robot friend and co-host. You guys have any fond memories of mythbusters? I had no idea he controlled Artoo in the Star Wars prequels. What a loss.

I just found out. Im surprised I did not notice this news the other day.
I love Geoff Peterson. I know he was voiced by Josh Robert Thompson. I knew Grant built him because he appeared on Craigs show now and then. Of course I watched Mythbusters. Did not know about the White Rabbit Project though. Sounds similar.

Yeah I loved myth busters when it aired, and he was a pretty great highlight on the show. RIP. He was pretty good at well the robots or machines in some cases for the myth lol. Odd he is the 2nd member of the show to past away with Jessi Combs being the first.

Watching Mythbusters reruns lately has been kinda of a bummer. Dude seemed really full of life, and a swell fella. That's a real drag, man.

That's just tragic.
I hope he will be able to rest at peace. |
