Facebook page that had been sneaking up toward 300 and was hoping it might top off 2014 by getting there by midnight. Looked at it a half hour ago and saw it was at 299, was hoping for 300 and hit it a sec later.

Didn't know you'd been keeping tabs, BT! Good to know someone's been appreciating all our "labors of love".

Yep, it feels good when you know someone's been following your work.
Watching a Cops marathon will make me happy today.

Cops! My grandma loves that show. That woman will undoubtedly watch a marathon if it's on. She never misses that on Saturdays. The fact that my chocolate chip cookies turned out great made me happy. You're supposed to use both all purpose and cake flour in them along with four eggs and three sticks of butter, and you gotta watch those suckers after sticking them in the oven, but close to sixty of them came out awesome nonetheless. Maybe I'll finally get around to tackling a turkey this year. Sounds daunting but whatcha gonna do?

Yep, I watch it on Saturdays on Spike also. But the marathon was on Cloo today not Spike.

I have a few things... work is going well, I got to have today off from work, it was a nice sunshiny day to be outside... but the biggest at the moment is the fanfic that I have been working on since college ten years ago.
This weekend I will publish the final chapter, and No Place to Be Called Home will finally be complete. |

I'm in a very uncharacteristic great mood. Not sure why - probably the delusional aspirations of a new year starting. I'm sure I will be back to my old self by next week.

Oh gosh, plenty enough...
New Years day of course, which has always been a bit of a thing at our house because it's also my father's birthday. He entertained us by trying to pick up the cake (small square cake) to tip it forward, for a photo my sister was trying to take, and proceeded to try to drop it on himself. The number candles stayed lit, including the one that fell down the side of the cake when he had totaled the corner of it in the process. On top of that a longtime friend's birthday is New Years Eve. Since my area shares tv broadcast with Philly the Mummers Parade was on, which is nearly an all day event. This thing is not your ordinary "parade." |

What made me happy: That Yahoo fixed the glitch and my e-mail wasn't frozen anymore. I was afraid I'd have to upgrade Firefox to get it fixed, but I don't have to thank goodness.

Done my good deed for the day - had ordered a spare copy of the first season of the Nick show seeing as it was relatively inexpensive. It arrived about an hour ago, just before my cousin came for a quick visit on his way to a soccer game (he lives in another part of the country). So I asked if his little boy (he's 5) likes cartoons. He said yes so I gave him the DVD. He seemed very enthusiastic.
A good deed as well as hopefully getting another young kid into the turtles. Don't you guys ever say that I don't do my part for the franchise |

Cool, Dave. I try to do my part as well since I'm doing the teacher thing. Although most kids around here sport TMNT and know nearly everything about the Nick series and story arcs. A couple kids are reading the Mirage comics digitally from what I understand. At least I'm pretty sure it's Mirage. Neat to see girls sporting TMNT backpacks and playing with the toys too. I remember one kid hoping for Tiger Claw as a stocking stuffer. Hope she got him. They had a bunch of him at our local Target. Her folks usually ask me which store has what, so hopefully they got there in time before they were all nabbed.
Great to hear about your fanfic, Machi. I try waiting until all or nearly all of a fic is written to start reading it. It's tough for me waiting in-between chapters for more to be written, especially if the author leaves me hanging. I'm all about readathons. I've been known to cave frequently, however. Glad work's going well too.

My boyfriend, known as Hellsing here, dropped by to say hello and gave me a cherry limeade sparkling water. ^u^
Edit: oh my gosh. I hear the fizzing in my mouth when I drink it. >u<

Finally getting my net back up after three days without! And the fact that the brief hiatus gave me a chance to get a lot more writing done. Expect the next chapter of LIS up soon! Mikey's been a BUSY young lad.....
