TMNT III: The Manhattan Project Cover Image
So, one of my all-time favorite pieces of TMNT artwork is the box cover for the NES video game, TMNT III, by Michael Dooney. Here's a link to it, if you're not familiar: http://www.mobygames.com/images/cove...ront-cover.jpg
Now, this image is clearly cropped, it appears that Casey Jones might be behind the Triceraton's right shoulder, but it's hard to tell. I've been trying to find the full image for quite a while now, but all my searches come up nil. I figured I'd come here in case anyone happened to ever ran across it. Or at least a version of it without the Nintendo and Konami branding. I reached out to Michael Dooney the only way I could find, which was an AOL email address that I have no idea if he still checks, so maybe if someone even had a better way to reach him, it would be great. Or if anyone knows someone else that might have it or at elast more information; I assume that Konami "owned" the piece at the time, but who knows? Any help or info would be appreciated. |

Its funny you bring this up. I am re-furbishing my original NES shell and i am actually hand painting this piece onto the shell. It going to be black and white to give it a comic book look. This piece is my all time favorite TMNT artwork. Its so amazing, but I also did play the crap out of the game when I was younger

Hmmm. IIRC, old Nintendo Powers always had a fold-out poster in the middle of them and this was one of them. I don't know if it would show more of the art, but even if you just like the image it would be a nice thing to have.

It was so silly because those random body parts had nothing to do with the game. |

My recommendation would be to reach out to Dan Berger at Mirage..
Dan@miragelicensing.com He has helped me with some odd requests in the past. If anything, he may be able to reach out to Michael Dooney and get the final word on where the full image might be found or even the whereabouts of the actual painting. |

I love seeing all this old artwork. I wish we had more of this today.
