I think the date on it says '03... Relatively recent. I wonder if there could be an IDW special or something? A full-fledged, richly-textured, painted issue.
You've already got your books? I read in the newsletter they were being shipped but I've not got mine yet.

On another note, the unused cover for the reprint was awesome - dino Turtles are always cool!

Got mine through the mail today; shipped a few days ago.

Unused cover, eh? Where was that shown? A.C. Farley mentioned doing a piece, but I haven't seen it.

Ooooh, nice. :) Wish that would have been used; I'd have bought a second copy with that bad boy.

It's featured in the book's gallery, but it's not printed very big. I believe the info under the piece said "Some French TMNT collection." :p Something like that. It didn't seem very specific, ha.

I've got a French copy of The River that I'm certain the cover is drawn by that same artist. It's ultra-badass.

Got my Fabry-covered beauty in the mail as well. The gallery pages added to this new printing are fantastic, giving a good look at some full cover art minus the spine fold and staples. It'd have been nice to see each art piece get a full page-- maybe IDW will do a big Cover Art HC?

I opened up the box and found the copy I received had a tear in the spine and some wear along the bottom edge of the front cover. Anyone else have this? It seems like it probably happened in shipping due to the minimal packaging used. Irksome.

Here's the scan of the Eastman/Bisley "Raphael in Coolidge Park" piece, folks. It's a big'un, so resize as you please.

Some thoughts on the reprint:

The interior pages are printed a little darker, and sometimes tend to look a little muddy and less detailed. Not really something that affects much and wouldn't be noticed unless you're an observational freak like I am. However, some things like the neon-green Turtles image between each story looks clearer and more refined in the reprint. Weird.

The indicia still has Mirage copyright info and no mention whatsoever of Nickelodeon or Viacom. :p It's formatted slightly differently from the first print, so they obviously altered it a little, just didn't update the info.

The bonus pages are just the gallery. I had a faint hope of maybe another short, but nope. :p

wilddiverse: Mine didn't have any marks except for little nicks on the cover near Leonardo's nose and neck. Kinda bugs me a little since they're pure white and kind of distract from the image a little, but oh well. Otherwise in really good condition.

I wonder if shipping is taking a little longer for those of us who ordered all four books?

Finally got mine!

Was pleasantly surprised to see that Kevin signed all four of my books. I wasn't really expecting it when I asked, but Fiona was kind enough to have him sign them when he visited the warehouse.

Now I know they're worth One hundred MILLION dollars!!

Fiona is one swell gal. Thanks to her, I was able to score their office and warehouse's only non-reference copy of the Bodycount hardcover.

What I mean is they wanted to keep one for sake of reference and that. :) Nothing special, heh.

Yeah. I was bummin' 'cos the softcover edition's spine is such shite, and the only copy I saw on eBay the guy was asking like $1,000 for. :p So I figured I'd shoot an email over to Heavy Metal to see if they had one, and one phone call/transaction later, it's mine. Cooooool stuff, and the glue doesn't come undone like the softcover does.

Still one of my favorite Turtles comics. I think this board's crazy for not being too fond of it. :p Although it really isn't much of a Turtles series; it's more like some totally unrelated story with Casey and Raph thrown in.
