"Smile" wasn't too bad...a bit unengaging in parts. The I.T Crowd-like resolution lends itself to scrutiny, but overall I did have a fun time with it. Bill continues to make logical observations and asks different kinds of questions. We only got vague motivations for guarding the vault on Earth though.

I thought Smile was meh. Nardole came off as a bit of a dick in that short part with him. I wasn't that engaged with the episode. I hope Thin Ice is better.

The story was a tad familiar, but overall it wasn't bad. Bill is pretty rad so far. I was worried that her awkwardness would be a bit one-note, but she broke out some subtle emotional stuff that I liked a lot.

Thin Ice is the best episode of the season so far

Definitely the best episode by far from the current series. Some actual stakes, it may as well been a pure historical given we don't know if the fish was alien or just unnaturally big.

I guess the BBC feel enough time has passed now since Elizabeth's passing that they can officially kill off the Sarah Jane character. This new novel reveals she died early on in 2017

I'm not sure what they were trying to say with Thin Ice. Don't be racist now children, but steeling is OK. Murder is mostly bad too... mostly, but you'll get over it.

Looks like that Sarah Jane thing was a hoax after all..ah well

Apparently a scene had to be deleted from this week's episode Knock, Knock for fears causal audience wouldn't get a continuity reference

Spoiler:
One of Bill's roomates is the grandson of former Tom Baker era companion Harry Sullivan, who would have been revealed to be gay

Really like the current season of Doctor Who thus far. Bill is pretty cool and I love the addition of Nardole too.

Also, Class is now on BBCA and I am enjoying that show immensely as well.

Knock Knock was really good.
Spoiler:
That wooden woman is the scariest thing I've seen in years. It looked like prosthetic makeup, but whatever it was it was very effective.

Yeah, that and the insects crawling around too.

Also loved on Class how Ram and April are an item now and he wants to help her get her heart back. Something tells me it won't turn out well though.

As soon as I saw David Suchet appear, I figured they wouldn't get him in Dr Who for a lightweight part. Easily the best thing about the episode.

Another belter. Jamie Matheison has but one blemish on his record from 2015 and I'd sooner pin that on Moffat than him. Brilliantlly paced with a bit of a darkly humorous resolution. Loved that the "Suits" were both a literal threat and a political commentary at the same time.

Next week looks enticing too

Spoiler:
Following his noble sacrifice to save Bill from exposure to the space vacuum, he Doctor is now blind and must read the book of Veritas in that condition...also Missy, the Pope, and River's diary turn up
