The whole Samurai wave seem to have come and gone. Are people finding anymore of them with the new monster wave hitting?

Are the Ghostbuster turtles in the regular scale?

Nah, they're larger, the same scale as those special wrestling ones.

Thanks for the link! I was finally able to order a set, last night because they kept going in and out of stock. The Targets around me have the price labels out for these Ghostbuster TMNT figures, but none on the shelves and I been checking for the past week. They share the same spot with the WWE series 2 figures and those are still there.

Slowly tracking these last figures from Playmates 2012 range.

I’ll have monsters, maybe in time for Halloween..

And I’ve completed the regular set of 3 Usagi figures with these...

And

These leave 5 figures to get, but I cheated and ordered those off of EBay !!

My first Ghostbusters Don/Leo/Raph rolled in yesterday from Target.com.
Boxes are REALLY beat up, so, don't expect otherwise!
Didn't have time to open em up yet, one of my first orders of business will be to see if there's a head swap that can be made with any of the other deluxe/collector figures.

Mikey is still on the way.

I ordered an additional 2nd set as well, all 4 at once in same order, maybe that will ship as a whole case and arrive in nicer shape? We'll see.

Those are all on track to arrive today.

Unhappy

I was going to open the GB figures, but I am impressed with their packing and ended up displaying in those boxes ~ much like I did with the wrestlers.

Also today, I received my two Usagi figures. Regular is very cool. The Samurai is ok but cheapened by not having as good a paint app on the helmet as the horse riding counterpart.

Mikey Venkman #1 arrived from Target, also with beat up packaging.

My second set of the 4 busters also arrived, together in same shipping box, with more or less minty packaging.

So, I'm happy, and I don't have to hunt these. Did a Target run to 6 or 7 stores Monday and didn't see any, just lots of WWEs everywhere. This was in the KC area.

My GB figs arrived in two separate packages, and they were fine.

Usagi figures had to come out of the boxes.
Glad I finally decided to open up all these (well a whole bunch anyway) figures in my collection.
Opening 25 Year old figures is pretty cool. Haha.

Anyways, here are the Usagi figures.

I’m now tempted to chase the comic con version, simply bescause it’s a well presented piece- and that one wouldn’t be opened!!

I've seen the four Monster Turtles figures in stores around me, but I've passed a couple times due to some paint errors on Werewolf Mikey and an apparent left shoulder joint damage on Mummy Leo. I currently have decent looking figures of Vampire Raph, Franken Don, and Werewolf Mikey, and I think they probably are among the best toys Playmates has released since the first wave of the Nick line and maybe the Space Turtles set. They are really fun as subtle holiday decorations. Anybody finding the "Monster Hunter" versions of Leo and Raph? They kinda look like the original figures with Van Helsing clothes on them. Still cool, just not near as memorable.

Definitely gives one a certain high, IMO. Totally nostalgic sense-memory typa stuff. I had filled a few holes in my collection some years back with super cheap carded figures. Mostly turtle variants. Popping them open (with more care than back in the day, of course) is a real trip. You can feel/see first hand just how good their quality was all those years ago.

That’s the real truth. The quality of the old, original lines were superior in every way.
I collect 1:6 figures from Hot Toys and the like. Opening these, the quality is far superior to anything from 25 years ago, and over the past decade , even these have become insanely good. Pity the same can’t be said of the playmates action figures. I’m not saying I don’t like them: I do. It’s just they can’t compete in quality to their ‘classic’ counterparts.

Yeah, it's luck of the draw - 1 of my seats was beat up, 1 set was mint (except for one corner ding).

Found some at a real store yesterday, had Raph/Mike/Don. The boxes on those were beat up too so it seems like Target may have had quite a bit of damaged stock somehow. Maybe they were returns from an online order, heh.

I'm glad I got these Ghostbuster TMNT figures at Target.com because I still haven't seen them in any of the Targets I gone too. And the funny thing is there is a shelf sticker for them shared with the WWE ones so if you find them in store, you might get them for 15.99 plus tax because they are sale, lol
