I confess, I’ve never been the huge Bishop fan, in any version, as others. He’s a suit, he represents “The Man,” he serves a good purpose for conflict and did go a ways to answering the question of what the heck the government had been doing all this time in the IDW verse, but I’ve never considered him as interesting as Shredder, Krang, Stockman, etc. Now that Stockman is the Mayor, and Null is hanging around, we already have plenty authority figure antagonists in suits hanging around.

had another thought. if the mutants are granted citizenship down the road then sally and at least one of the turtles are going to have to do something most people hate/dispize doing. going to the dmv.

I'm really enjoying where the story has gone and the art is great. This feels like new territory for the series, yet it also fits the foreshadowed future full of mutants we've gotten glimpses of earlier in the run.
That said, the dialogue is really bugging the English nerd in me. Commas are constantly being used in place of periods and it drives me up the ****ing wall. It takes me out of the story on every page. I'm not trying to be mean here, but seeing constant run-on sentences in a professionally published comic that heretofore had such tight dialogue just boggles my mind. Most the actual dialogue wouldn't be a problem if those commas would just go away. (Well, and the use of "crap" where "damn" would flow better in a couple spots this issue stood out too.) I'm assuming Klunk is gonna come back and that'll help break Mikey out of his funk, show him that not everyone and everything disappears forever. In fact, I'm gonna predict that when Mikey and Leo go back to the house Klunk will already be curled up inside sleeping. Otherwise, damn would it be dark if his kitty froze to death on top of everything else. Kid needs a win. An ending where Klunk at least hasn't disappeared would fit this arc's theme of "bad things happened but we're finding our feet again, and everything isn't going to suck forever." |

If Hob is to ever have any redemption it is the perfect way for it to happen organically. Learning that he was not actually abandoned could turn him into an interesting direction. So Ms. Campbell you are lurking and the gears are turning about how to make this cannon right?

had a thought on what I think sallys speech to hob is going to be.
"you remember when you rescued me and ray? we were being traded to the foot by null. now your just like she is."

Speaking for myself, a good dose of near-fanfiction levels of speculation is the only way to endure the long wait between issues.
