WW I just watched that 2001 trailer, the turtles look bulky but the martial arts sequences are the best I've ever scene in any animated. version.

good? Those designs are awful. But this gameplay must be from the xbox or the ps3 version of the game. The PC version designs on max settings must be a lot better than this if they include full dx11 support (tasselation hd graphics). I have a GTX 560 TI TWIN FRONZ II OC 2 GB, and i am expecting the game to look a LOT better than this on my PC. This must be probably console version footage pc version will look a lot better

Wow. That's interesting.

This is absolutely weird. For one thing, these designs would fit for a movie or a brand new series, but not the current 2k12 show. Somehow, if they say this is downloadable, I'm not sure. Is it possible there will be a TMNT game in the future that is part of the 2k12 show and have the actual CGI designs? If it's not coming now, I may want to save my money.

This game really needs to go back into the shadows.

This seems to be another typical beat'em up. It also suggests that the combat style will be like the Batman Arkham games. It'd be cool if there were some stealth portions.

Unless I'm mistaken, a seperate retail game featuring the Nickelodeon show likenesses should follow after OOTS.
It's odd that they didn't release a 2k12 game first and the OOTS downloadable game later though...

In any case I'm sure as shell getting 'em both!

Sounds good to me. This game looks awful from start to finish. I guess I shouldn't be surprised from Activision but a big NO THANK YOU from me

38 seconds of footage, and it looks awful from start to finish? Whatever...

That was my first thought. I think that would be super! (or, batty is perhaps the term I should use)

So Turtles look similar to this in some fan art... and everyone pisses themselves and says that they need to "make something" like that.

Someone finally does, and there's nothing but nerd rage.

This fandom is retarded.

Anyone else disappointed that it seems like the only coop will be online? Turtles games just seem like perfect opportunities for some couch coop. Blah...

Um yes, the entire trailer looks terrible to me, from start to finish, just like I said. If you disagree, that's fine, I hope you enjoy the game.

How could any of you be complaining about this? Some of you are probably really into gaming and thus can't get past aesthetic issues, style, or whatever, but as a guy who only plays games minimally, judging from the trailer alone we are getting an AWESOME, mature, TMNT game.

This is what we're getting:

- Awesome redesigns that look like they could be movie quality
- Clearly a first movie based indie looking kind of game
- 4 player co-op
- Looks to be sophisticated beat 'em up, which to me is a positive

Look what we've been given most recently concerning TMNT games:

- 2007 TMNT sucked and was single player (why?)
- TMNT Smash Up was okay, but got really boring very fast
- TMNT Turtles in Time rehash was admirable but only fairly good

By the looks of this trailer alone, this game is way cooler and more appealing than anything we've been given in the recent past.

If this game turns out better than TMNT 2007 for GBA, I will eat TMNT 2007 for GBA.

Touché, Turo.

I'm actually surprised that I didn't hear/read about this yesterday when the news first dropped... everyone seems to be just now reporting about it today on my usual gauntlet of "things to check when bored". (Shrug) W'ever.

Probably gonna get it on PS3 unless they do something console-specific (which I don't imagine).

Never was a huge fan of that fan artwork anyway.

But the game designs are growable

You've pretty much summarized everything rather succinctly. I've also noticed that this fandom is really good at passing judgment on everything in the blink of an eye.

And I have yet to hear anyone say just what it is about these designs that's "bad". As I've already stated, their looking ugly, creepy, or monstrous is fitting of the fact that they're giant mutant turtles. And even looking at them like that, something about them still comes off as charming the more I look at them. I mean, you're all welcome to not like them, and I can certainly understand being creeped out by realistic looking mutant turtles, but just what is it about these designs that are "bad"? I actually find these designs to be pretty believable interpretations of what Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would look like if they actually existed.
