Looks like "badassified" art of the Manga Shredder.

It looks okay, not really a fan of it.

So I guess that this (if it's indeed artwork from a new show) confirms that the current cartoon will be replaced pretty much as soon as it ends? Can't really say I'm shocked, I've said before that I've seen this sort of thing happen over and over again, so I guess it's going to hit late 2017 or early 2018? Eh, it's going to be nice to get something fresh.

On the subject of the design itself, looks nice and detailed though I never liked the idea of putting a mouth/nose on the mask. I know that was an actual thing on samurai masks, but it looks so goofy.

Also, I couldn't help but to notice this:

That's the 2003 Foot Clan symbol, lumped in with the Fred Wolf Shredder's icons... Odd...

if it was gonna be a new show, then why name it dark shredder like all the other times a new show has started..... makes me think itll turn out being a new form of shredder in the current show like how there were multiple forms of shredder in the 03 show

hope this means that nick is finally acknowledging the 03 version (since they havent put out updated dvd sets of it) and not trying to make it forgotten

Nick has made shorts with alternate art styles before, and Half-shell heroes. How do we know this isn't a one-off thing?

Because the show is ending after season 5 and this looks very elaborate?

As far as I understand, Anthony Petrie makes art ONLY for show, not one-off things.

But couldn't it be something like the Half-shell heroes 1 hour special? I don't get it. Nothing implies this is an all new series.

It says it's a new design for a product, It doesn't say it's for a new product.

It could be either of these

A new Shredder for the current show (Kavakas probably resurrects him or something)
Or a new TV series (based on IDW)
Or a 1 off special (like Half Shell Heroes but it will be based on IDW)
Or It could be for a new game app or Video Game. (Doubt it's that)

I'm betting the first 1

Either way, I love the design. If it's for a new show, I'm totally in. If it's just for t-shirts & stuff, well, I'll wear one.
