Definetly something I'd do once I make more tmnt art. I regret not having the whole heap of drawings I made in 2013-2014 when I started becoming a huge tmnt fan. I even made pictures of Nick turtles meeting their FW counterparts way before Transdimensional Turtles was even known and I first saw the Wormquake special about but Ive improved alot since then so I can draw much better now.

In terms of tmnt, I draw mostly Fred Wolf stuff, some of the Nick characters, the Mirage turtles from Issue 1 who were my favourite characters to draw when I first began tmnt art and sometimes fictional mutants.

Yeah, I didn't want to be too rude before considering you haven't done anything as annoyingly stupid the way some alleged 30+ year old man has but I have to agree with LeotheLateBloomer here, a huge chunk of the topics you make threads about are just bizarre.

"Tmnt done in the style of Metal Gear Solid, good idea?", "How would you like a modern anime remake of OT season 1 as a full movie?", "Does anyone here love the OT but not OOTS?", "Would you like to see the PD turtles christmas album?".

To be fair, most are perfectly reasonable but some seem weirdly specific or like a question best left in another thread.

You didn't want to be rude, but you were anyway

I don't know why people bother saying that when they know full well they were being rude. At least he's doing something different and posting topics that aren't repeats of others.

According to Wikipedia, no. It's a pretty bizarre mix though, "Let's have Garfield, the Smurfs and that green floating turd from Ghostbusters warn a kid about crystal meth because he does weed!".

I'm honestly more interested in what kind of contract allowed for this to happened. Whatever it was, it's somehow odd to imagine independant comic book creators and some Disney executive all signing the same thing.

Not the contract, the motivation email behind it. Fear. Fear is a powerful motivator.

Also money. I am guessing Surge Licensing, who handled TMNT, thought it would be a good PR move for the turtles and turn around parent's opinions of them, which had become very negative.

The blatant commercialism and/or the "violent" movie I'm assuming? Probably the commercialism, seeing how there's no way pre-production, production and post-production all happened in less than three weeks.

I don't think a crossover with these two shows would work well, but I could be wrong.

As a kid, I always kinda wanted a crossover episode with the TMNT meeting the Super Mario Bros (whether it be from the Super Mario Bros Super Show, Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, or Super Mario World).

Okay, I will not deny being an MLP fan (sorta lost intrest in the last year or so though), but with all due respect, nothing about these franchises really go together.
Like, at best, I can forsee maybe a thing with all IDW properties together and both making apearances (MLP comics are printed by IDW), but even an idea such as that is far fetched. That'd be like saying MLP should've been in Infestation.

I agree with most people saying the series are just too different to mesh together well enough for a crossover. The Turtles are way more human than animal ,which always confuses about the whole 'ewww Don/April' thing, because these guys are more like weird green men with shells, and not actually talking turtles in the way that the ponies are just talking horses. I know Mikey would be treating them as talking pets and Raph would want to get the hell out of cutesy pink land.

The ponies were not in the Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue drug PSA. Now that I think about it, while the message is just as important to girls as it is for guys, I don't recall any girl cartoon characters in this crossover. And I don't mean lack of female characters, I know Miss Piggy was in it, but I mean no characters from shows that were strictly girly like MLP and Barbie and whatnot.

I know the crossover sounded weird as all hell, but hey, back then as a kid that followed most of those shows, it was beyond awesome. It aired simultaneously on any channel that owned any character and even in spanish on the Spanish channels. I've never seen a multi-company crossover of that degree. Yes, we have the Cartoon Cartoons and NickToons crossover but only with other characters from the same channel. A 2017 version of this would involve the CN gang crossing over with the Nick bunch as well as any cartoon that's popular that doesn't belong to those two and possibly a few anime characters too.

I saw a review about it the other day on Youtube and the dude kept saying 'all the cartoon characters... and ALF for some reason' and he kept repeating the joke, not knowing that ALF did indeed have a cartoon show at the time and he was even wearing the same shirt he did in that cartoon show. Kinda wish people would do more research before reviewing stuff.

Maybe going the "Equestria Girls" route would mesh better, but the tones are so incredibly different it's a little painful to consider.

Also, am I the only one that pictures these ponies as being tiny? I feel like a real life scale would have them no bigger than large dogs. I keep picturing them tiny next to the Turtles.

That said, I could be okay with a rather screwy short just for "wtf sake," as long as one or both parties react that way. Either the ponies become "Equestria Girls" in the TMNT world and the Turtles are all "Wtf, why are you so abnormally colorful?" or the Turtles end up in their world and digress to talking Turtles, on the level of the talking ponies, and hate it... lol (Though they may return home with a new appreciation for how human they are.)

I don't know why but for some reason I like that idea! Sounds like one of Mikey's weird dreams from Nick so that could make it work. I think it would be hilarious as a shared dream!

Dude, I would love it just to see how the Turtles would react as being just normal turtles that can still talk. LMAO Awesome. Raph could even say something like 'I wonder if this is how Spike felt?'

I thought about the Equestria girls instead but I like the normal pony designs much better. Also, the mane six in mlp have gone on adventures in their show fighting monsters and threats like tmnt while in Equestria Girls, its mostly them just hanging out in school.

But the idea of them changing based off what universe they're in sounds fun. For e.g, the turtles would look more colourful and simplified in the mlp world while the mane six would look more detailed and angular in the tmnt world.

As for the size, I can't say for exact but I imagine they would just as tall as the turtles if they stood on their hind legs but have their manes reaching up to the turtles torsos when standing on all fours like they always do.

I wonder which incarnation of tmnt would work best. FW tmnt sounds well good enough to me as they meet fantasy creatures like Mr. Ogg and Hokum Hare all the time, while the Nick turtles aren't as fitting in my opinion (especially since I don't like the idea of CG ponies) but could still work since they also meet fantasy creatures like the dream beavers and so on.

FW, maybe. Although I think Half Shell might be easier since it exists as only one special and maybe more open to developing its own style a bit apart from Nick 2012.

OR... use that the version/style from that Don. vs Raph short.

I can just hear it now...

"Ralphie Raphie, I can't get up!"
"Ah shell, I can't reach my swords!"

*spits weapon out of mouth* "This is impossible. We lack even the most basic physical requirements to pull this off."
"And forget dual-wielding. I guess we're just supos'ta headbutt em ta death. "

LOL! The funny thing is, I really like the current Friendship is Magic series, but I would NEVER - NEVER - cross over with the TMNT! I'm not bashing someone's dream idea, but for me, it just does not work. Of course, that said, if it happened, I'd be right there watching it on tenterhooks, lol.
