Nick bebop and IDW Rocksteady (primarily from the Micro)
T'was a request from Tumblr, and I felt for drawing them so why not.

Out of curiosity, was it an anonymous request? Because I had quite a lot of requests to draw Bebop and Rocksteady on tumblr.

It was...weird. Because they were always very specific about the way they wanted them dressed.

So it must have been the same person. They asked for something from another person too...who honestly draws Bebop and Rocksteady a lot more, so it worked better there.

Who knows... AT least it was a lot simpler then the dude that wanted me to draw his belly dancer OC with me and my "oc's" in similar outfits with a full city background....

I replied with my commission rates and never heard from him again

Yeah, it was after the third time that person asked was when I started wondering if I should set up commissions.

It's been a while since I've drawn some Turtles, and the Rooftop Pose thread inspired me since I have never drawn that scene before.

So a drew it, and made a few color variants.

I've never seen Mikey with that weapon before, as I usually see him carry / fight with his nunchucku.

Thanks for also posting the 'prototype colors'. I never knew that that was originally planned for both Turtles - that is, until I saw a video about it.

Mikey have been using a kusarigama in the Nick show, although it's a nunchaku that transforms to a kusarigama in the show just like Donnie's bo have a built in naginata blade that can pop out.

I had a little bit of a discussion with myself about what weapon Mikey should hold in my piece, at one hand Nunchaku are classic Mikey on the other kusarigama is an actual practical weapon. So I went with practicality but kept the 'chuck holstered, so a bit of both.

Awesome. I like the prototype colour swap scheme the best. It reminds me of all the off-brand merch you used to get in the 80s, where their masks and weapons were all mixed and matched.
