Career Killing Movies

Can anyone think of a movie that killed the career (s) of the directors, writers, or actors in it?

Like Mike Myers in The Love Guru

Speaking of Mike Myers:

Dana Carvey in the Master of disguise.

Showgirls, I guess, although Berkeley never really had much of a film career to speak of anyway, but that one pretty much ended that.

See also: Tom Green and "Freddy got Fingered". No film career to speak of before it, no film career period after it. Thank God.

Super Mario Bros. Hoskins and Leguizamo both went on to other things afterwards, but you wouldn't know it unless you looked.

Elektra. Garner not acting as much afterwards probably had more to do with starting a family, but I'm positive that the movie made her decision a lot easier.

The Director of Elektra's career is STONE DEAD as of now. How about Geena Davis in Cutthroat Island.

Jake Lloyd in Phantom Menace.

Or possibly Keanu Reeves in 47 Ronin.

Whatever happened to the guy who played Robin in Batman Forever and Batman and Robin? Did he ever do anything after that?

Street Fighter the Movie. Stephen de Souza (writer of Commando, The Running Man, 48 Hours, Another 48 Hours and Die Hard 1 and 2), never directed again because of this movie. Read an interesting article about it the other day: http://www.polygon.com/features/2014...hat-went-wrong

Tom Green had an online talk show from his house, still does stand up from what I can tell and currently has a talk show on AXS tv.

I know Im gonna get alot of criticism for this but I thought Freddy Got Fingered was kinda funny. Some of the gross stuff no, but it had some good parts.

I think part of Tom Green's comedy comes from his own personality. I mean his way of talking and just being silly. Kinda hard to explain. I was thinking he'd make a good Ghostbuster.

It's very rare for an actor to survive a bad role in a bad movie.

The only reason Arnold Schwarzeneggar survived Mr. Freeze in Batman and Robin is because he's Arnold.

Leonardosbane: OH! You reminded me! "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li" and Kristen Kreuk. Good thing, too, she's terrible.

Wildcat: You ever disrespect Ghostbusters like that again and I'll smack you with a frozen trout. And I'm aware Tom Green still does stuff, but for all intents and purposes his career as someone anyone but Tom Green cares about ended right around then.

CC: People do bad movies and bounce back all the time. Clooney got through Batman and Robin just fine, himself. And even IF he never did or does another movie, he's made physical penetrative contact with Stacy Keibler's small intestine, so for that, he wins at life.

Lol, well he wasn't a movie star to bein with. He's known for TV. He still has alot of fans.

As for Ghostbusters people forget that whoever is cast wouldn't be doing all the stuff they're known for. They'd be doing what what the script says. Tom wouldn't be going crazy and doing stuff like eating ecto-plasm

I think Tom is funniest when he's just talking and making jokes. Just being silly. Not crazy stuff.

Lita would've been more impressive imo. Must be the combination of simultaneously being gorgeous AND able to kick my ass...

Brendan Fraser in Furry Vengeance. After that he was done... He put on weight for the role and never lost it. Like a reverse Robert De Niro in Raging Bull.

Lita got pissy with me once just for saying I preferred when she wrestled in shorts. What with all the prominent attention people always pay to her visible thong, THAT, she thought was off-putting, apparently.

Could just be that "I always have a cold" voice of hers, but she seemed annoyed. Whateverrrrrrr. Sexy and Lousy. Good for her.
