Thanks, Plastic! That's quite a compliment from such a tmnt art collector bigshot

What I really like about the Tanya Roberts cover is, that it combines the new refreshing animated style with some old school flavor through the all red bandanas

Good for you..he declined my request quite harshly. He told me, he's not accepting commissions at the moment. Don't know why he acted that way, when he obviously still accepts commissions.

Maybe Raph Tha Dude was the last one he took before deciding to close for a little while? With it being the holiday season, I could understand him not wanting to be too swamped, or there being high demand for his work. Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you, though.

The thing is, that he told me that we could work something out after Nycc. So I talked to him again after Nycc and he told me, that I should get back at him in early november. That's what I did, and suddenly he told me, like 10 days ago, that he's not taking commissions anymore. If Raph tha dude set something up with him today, it doesn't make sense why he told me that he's not taking anymore commissions.

I think I'll try to get something from him next year. Maybe after christmas something opens up. For now, I take my cash to other artists..but of course I still want a Dooney

Yeah, I set mine up today. He told me he had a small list to do and if I wanted I could hop on. Though, a while back I had asked him about doing one for me, but some things happened and I couldn't follow through with it. I told him that when I emailed him last night, maybe he just felt bad for me.

It's weird. But I'm happy for you. I'm sure you'll get a nice piece. I try my best to get something from him early next year. Maybe then it will work out.

Waiting on a Lawson and a Dooney(and a Sakai and a bunch of other stuff...) to come back from CGC. In the meantime, here's Dan Berger. Back inside cover to TMNT vol. 4 #30. Mirage had some of these books (v4#30) for sale on the website recently. I got lucky and grabbed a couple before they sold out. Dan was kind enough to do a quick sketch. Very stand up guy he is!
