Kinda funny since in "Turtles Forever" there wasn't a single Next Mutation screenshot during that "all turtle universes" sequence.

Did Jim Lawson raise an eyebrow when he was told to draw Venus? I think he did a few commissions of her for fans, as I remember seeing a Lawson Venus art a few years ago.

Are you sure about that?

Yes. How could you not know this? It was discussed many times since 2009. There's not a singe Next Mutation image during the Turtles Forever universe sequence.

There was a still from the live action movie; that might be what you're recalling.

The omission of any images from The Next Mutation in "Turtles Forever" was a legal necessity, anyway. Disney/Saban own that series, so 4Kids would have had to pay a licensing fee to use any stills from it.

They showed a Movie 1 poster and a Movie 4 poster to represent the movies.

There was no Next Mutation image.

I have got to say it, major props to all involved in making this happen. Andrew, man, you made real history with this and it looks to be shaping up quite nicely!

The effort it took to get this going and see it through had to be tremendous.
My hats off to you!

A real shame that only 60-70 members of this forum will actually read this comic though. Each issue of IDW sells roughly 16,000 copies at the lowest.

It's a shame there's nothing IDW can do to get this on shelves. It's probably simply because they don't want to pay Andrew, Jim Lawson and others for the work and they would have to legally buy the script and own it.

I understand the business side of it all, but it's a real shame only 70 lucky people will read this instead of the 16,000 masses that buy TMNT comics every month.

I have pre-orders for... considerably more than that number. Considerably.

You've been advertising outside this forum then? Considering this would mainly appeal to Mirage TMNT fans and they're a scattered bunch outside of this forum that would be surprising.

Well, for one thing, there's a lot of silent lurkers. I'm sure they account for something.

On a side note could we ever see your work collected in IDW trades?

Don't you remember, it was crowdsourced here?

Well Andrew I'm looking forward to reading this once it sees print. Your stuff is always amazing. Wish your TMNT versus Predator would have taken off.

I had forgotten about this until recently and came back here to check on the progress. It looks like things are going well and I'm very excited to read this.

This has probably been answered before, but any idea when this is expected to be finished?

Is it too late for me to place pre order? I would love to add this to my growing Mirage collection
