Wow man, the sketches your getting are really complementing your collection.
Takes it to another level (altho I thought you were at the top anyway) I look forward to your next acquisition.

Here are a handful of pages from TMNT #16 from my collection. Growing up, #16 was my ABSOLUTE favorite comic as a kid and Mark's art really inspired me to learn to draw. I read it so many times that it basically disintegrated and wound up replacing it twice.
Years later, I wound up getting in touch with Mark and even did a bit of art for the back cover of one of his Fantagraphics comics. In the process, he went through his old collection of art and found these pages just sitting in storage. He sold them to me for a preposterously low price and they've hung proudly ever since! Quick note: Ignore the super-yellow color - they're framed and hanging in a room with a low-UV light (to protect the pages, actually) and that makes them look weird when photographed. The actual pages are fine. Last edited by funtax; 02-21-2014 at 08:44 PM. |

Wow, Funtax, so much greatness right there! I absolutely love Mark Martin's issues. The artwork is fantastic, its frickin' genius.
I got this in the post: From our very own Powder, t'was upon a parcel he sent me. Seeing as he's involved in a very awesome project TMNT related, I couldn't resist but stick it up!

Ok, so I haven't received it yet, but it's in transit. Couldn't wait to share with you guys.
This is a commission I got done by Dan Berger. Apparently, it's his first and only group shot piece I think it came out great!! check out his FB: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...9&id=587667761

I've been building a relationship over the past year with former Mirage artist, Bill Fitts (mostly around the purchasing of original art).
As part of one of our larger deals, I asked Bill to send a sketch along with the art. He obliged me with this: This is of course in reference to the adult book, which he did the pencils for. I just about died when i saw it. Very pleased |
