I agree, bring on the new art! I want to drool.

I've largely stopped collecting for many reasons, but I still love to see the new pickups here.

I hadn't gotten a new piece of TMNT art in easily 4 or 5 years now. Between money troubles & a lack of wall space, not to mention feeling pretty content that my collection is almost "complete", there was no rush. One key thing missing was a group shot of Fosco's Vol. 3 turtles (my favorites). I finally managed to commission Frank to do the boys with all their then-new design elements, drinking beers after a big fight. Very happy with the result!

How much did it go for? I didn't read the description and thought it was just for the 1 page.

BTW, nice to see the Issue 5 page sell for $5k.

The way the pages are numbered, I suspect they might be photocopies used to create the Collected Book in 1988. But I don't have a copy on hand to check the corresponding page numbers.

Either way, the paper looks more flimsy than the duoshade. I suspect they are some sort of photocopy.

During my extensive quarantine, I have been going through my various collections and documenting them on Excel with pics, prices paid, values and so on. This piece I am stuck on.... what do you think it is worth? No its not leaving my collection anytime soon......but are we thinking a couple hundred or like over $1k?? No idea really.

IDW page 1, issue 1 (or ashcan if you want to get technical)

How mich of a premium does a first page of a popular(ish) series fetch?

I think a few hundred. The covers from the first few issues still fetch between $500-$700, so I don't think you're in the 1k range.

OK cool...thanks! So happy I bought the page....I remember I saw it on the site still after a few hours and thought....why hasn't anyone purchased page 1!!!

I'd love to track down the blue line for it but haven't heard or anyone that knows who has it.

Yeah dude, it's a great page. I love DD's artwork. I'm curious to see where the art prices for the IDW stuff goes in the next 5-10 years.
