****, I hadn't thought about that. Anyone know anybody who could... "replace" him? Or at least emulate his voice? Damn, it's really sad that he won't get to see the end of Jack & Aku's rivalry.

Greg Baldwin could do it. He did the voice of Iroh for the remainder of Avatar the Last Airbender after Mako passed away, and in Legend of Korra as well.

Plus according to Wikipedia he did the voice for Aku on that FusionFall MMO.

I am so excited to see this is coming back. I am hoping to see me some more Scotsman! One of my favorite characters in this series and how he interacts with Jack, and generally his creative insults and in your face attitude.

New info on the new season:

It's set 50 years later, will be darker than the previous stuff, Aku is still about, Jack's lost his Katana and now has a motorcycle. There'll be at least 10 episodes. No word on when it'll be airing just.. SOON. Oh and Jack has abs...he looks pretty good for his age

Well, that certainly makes his attempt to return to his original time a lot sadder. What would be the point anymore? Might as well just overthrow Aku and be done with it.

"At least" 10 episodes? That sounds strange. Makes it sound like this is a mini-series rather than a full season of the show.

Not really when the previous 4 seasons were just 13 episodes each.

I got the feeling that that was the case anyway.

Lost his sword huh?
Wonder if that's what the season will be about.

I wonder if he's got immortality or if he's just been in some kind of stasis for 50 years.

I'm so ready for this. I was disappointed when the IDW comic series ended, I had really been hoping to see a conclusion to Jack's story, but no dice.

At long last, Jack's tale will finally have some closure (hopefully? watch him just get thrown further into the future in the last episode )

I've been meaning to start the IDW series. Is it any good? I'm also a little confused as to which one to start. Are the "Classic" volumes new stories, or episodes of the original show in comic book form or something?

i really respect what this series did, and i try to get into it.
but i much prefer Samurai Champloo over this.
(or better yet, something live action by Kurosawa and/or Mifune)

maybe i'll give this series another try?
