Bobby & Marty together again!
http://www.moviehole.net/201023541-b...together-again
I think it's safe to say that Robert De Niro reached the bottom (see "Righteous Kill") and is now working his way back up - as evidenced by the terrific, tearduct-teasing "Everybody's Fine" (which sadly only lasted about a week in theaters stateside before going the direct route to DVD). And with news of a possible reunion with (his "Mean Streets", "Taxi Driver", "Raging Bull", "Goodfellas", "Cape Fear", and "Casino" director) Martin Scorsese, seems we *may just be able to forget "The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle", "Hide and Seek", "Godsend", "Showtime", "Righteous Kill" and (dare I say...but seriously doubt I'm the only one that thought it sucked) "Meet the Fockers" ever happened, after all. There's **** all info on the film Bobby and Marty are reportedly doing together, but the Oscar Winning director - whose newie, "Shutter Island", opens this week - does state it'll be a "Gangster" flick (yay!) with De Niro assumingly playing an old crook looking back on his younger years. ''We're working on something like that, but it's from the vantage point of older men looking back, none of this running around stuff", ABC News quoted Scorsese as saying at a "Shutter Island" screening. Now there was talk of De Niro playing a part (possibly as a corrupt senator) in a prospective sequel to "The Departed" that Scorsese was toying with at one time, but that idea seems to have been iced like leftover ham steak for the moment. * It will take time. And possibly, drugs. But it will happen.
