So the press is getting Switch's now, and Zelda will have DLC. Discuss.

Would be awesome if they release Mario Sunshine and Luigi's Mansion on the VC

I don't get the fascination with unboxing videos. When I open my console I want to see everything myself the first time.

I've found unboxing videos to be helpful. By showing me what's inside, they've helped me decide whether I ought to get something or not, although that's more with DVDs and Blu-rays.

I have a new PC that can run new games without a problem, It's mostly for work but it'll also play a few games when I have the time and I plan on buying a raspberry pi so my gaming needs will be satisfied until the Switch gets a pricedrop/gets its sh-t together.
I've continued to play Fire Emblem Heroes and it's a lot of fun, I guess I finally got into this franchise, I"m afraid the real games are likely too chatty and while not as awesome as Advance Wars I like it and does quench my need of a new AW for the moment. |

Is the Switch backwards compatible in any way?

No. Doesn't play any old games, it will have a virtual console though.

Physically, no, as the Switch will have cartridge based games like the 3DS. Digitally, I'd say more than likely later on down the road.

It's not THAT much of a bold statement considering how Ocarina of Time already holds that title for most gamers in the world...

I have Zelda games on 3DS (the remakes of Ocarina of Time 3D, Majora's Mask 3D & A Link Between Worlds), on Wii (Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword) & WiiU (Twilight Princess HD).
The classics look awful and pixelated so I guess I'm not gonna bother with them. I look forward to this new game (Breath of the Wild). I wonder if I should get it on WiiU or Switch. It's gonna be fun comparing them though so I'll probably get both. Thankfully Gamespot has a comparison review already: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/swi.../1100-6447008/ |
