I always liked this show even if Weisman went overboard with the Xanatos Gambit, jesus christ man did that get annoying more than the overdone shipping. But I"m pretty happy the show is getting back and I hope they continue the "time skip" and tons of heroes added, I love seeing a fleshed out DCU even at the expense of individual characters; We already have plenty of DC shows that do that and YJ is only the second (JLU being the first) that actually does it.

I didn't know that but SD MI had too much shipping but it was fine, Spectacular Spider-Man had tons in 26 episodes and somehow it worked, but not in YJ.

Lol, I agree that SDMI had a tad too much shipping nonsense, but at least it showed restraint (compared to YJ s1). SSM though... having a show that good is like trying to catch lightning in a bottle. I don't think it'll ever be matched. What an amazing cartoon. If anyone reading this hasn't seen it, please do yourself a favor and check it out.

Considering he's claimed it to be one of his favorite cartoons, he has. Probably was just confused with the acronym is all.

Speaking of Spectacular, to go off topic briefly, I really want to write some scripts to continue the story. At the very least, I know one of the themes I'd do in "The Education of Peter Parker" is a psychology arc involving the Green Goblin/Hobgoblin debuting alongside Scorpion.

Weisman and other people involved with SSM (voice actors, character designers, etc.) actually have the time and generosity to sit down for an hour and participate in a podcast, as guests, breaking down each episode of the cartoon.

I've only listened through one of them, but they aren't afraid at all to go in-depth from the start and give some really great thoughts on the show's content and development. Highly recommended. And yes... sometimes Weisman hints at what his plans for season 3 would have been.

Weisman pretty much has established that it'll be a 2018 release for season 3.

I figured it would be 2018...although part of me hoped it would be ready by November of this year. Oh well.

The amount of time it takes to produce S3 probably depends on the platform. Netflix likes to dump full seasons at once, don't they?

Imagine, this show started in 2011 and it's third season isn't until 2018. The kids who watched this show when it started are now all in High School.

I agree it probably won't come out until 2018.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Voice Recording is one of the early steps, before the animation is even started. I am sure we will get some sort of teaser trailer during Comic Con, Maybe even a actual preview.

I just find it bizarre we have so little info of this show. We still have no idea where it's airing, I mean I'm going to assume netflix because they were the ones airing Seasons 1-2 when Season 3 was announced, etc....and we still don't know how many episodes this new season will be.

I'm hoping it's at least 20 episodes, but it might only be a 13 episode season.
