You see, he was good in gone girl because David FACKING Fincher directed that ****ing film. You know the guy I keep saying should do TMNT!

Go watch a Tyler Perry movie. Watch ANY Tyler perry movie. Tyler Perry was cast for one reason, and one reason alone - y'all know what it is, i a'int got to spell it out.

Agreed, but Gone Girl showed that he does have the ability to be good.

Not the best choice IMO… I was hoping for Jamie Foxx. I swear he looked like Baxter at the beginning of Amazing Spider-man 2… Oh well...

Yeah, I was wondering, too.

Maybe someone to play an older version? (Since I think the cameo was in child April's video?) But in that case is Perry old enough. Maybe it's another celeb name grab.

In the final cut of the movie, it's never stated (in-movie) that black background scientist was Stockman, it was almost blink-and-miss-it scenario.

So, why not recast Baxter, if they feel they have found a better guy.

Exactly he was good in Gone Girl because of David Fincher.

Tyler Perry is not directing TMNT 2 he's acting in it. He maybe a crappy director for these 'Madea' movies but I expect his acting is a lot better (depending on the director) than his directing/producing so he could be good in TMNT 2.

Also he's probably best at playing serious characters than comedy characters but we know nothing about what Baxter Stockman is going to be like, he could be funny or serious we just don't no yet.

I wonder if Baxter is going to mutate into a fly, seeing it in live action could be quite gruesome.

There was a black man with glasses who really looked like 4Kids Stockman around the end with Sachs. I thought that was him.

Yo, read it with me

DAVE GREEN. You really think this 20 something is gonna pull anything out of Tyler "I've made millions what have you done" Perry?

He's going to be directing himself.

There's an obvious play here to bring in more black viewers...
So many great black actors, and they go with this guy. They think they'll guarantee box office from me and my friends by putting this guy in the role, but they don't get it. Tyler Perry is a dirty secret, not a guilty pleasure.

Since they put an Arrested Development gag in for Arnett last time, let's hope Baxter rocks a dress at one point.

We won't know the running time a month before the movie comes out next year, hopefully it be longer than the 1st movie.
The original series episode, Landlord of the Flies, had the Turtles, April, Vernon, Shredder, Krang, Burne, Baxter, Bebop, and Rocksteady. I do not think there will be a problem with four villains in this film if they could have that many characters in a classic episode.

Never mind that it cost them 75 cents to animate those characters into a freakin' cartoon show, but it's going to cost a bazillion dollars to cram all this stuff into a movie.

So yeah, y'know.

Lem was also in "The Hurt Locker."
So we know he can do drama as well as comedy.

TMNT 2: The Dancefloor's Crowded

I told y'all they were gonna cram Stockman in there to create B&R. Didn't think things would go this poorly, though...

I'd forgotten he was in Star Trek. I second the thought that good actor aside his eye rolling Madea movies overshadow his other roles to the point it's hard to picture him as anything else.

If remember correctly his role in Star Trek wasn't really that big but casting a fairly big name makes me think Baxter will play a sizable role in this movie which means we have Casey Jones set up, some shenanigans with Megan Fox, Vern, Bebop and Rocksteady and some evil plan by Shredder.

Do we think we think this movie can get any more loaded? Are we really banking on seeing more of the turtles?

Anyone who thinks they're gonna do all this without Krang is nuts, so yes. There's sure to be at least a reference to the character, I'd imagine, which gives them 1 more "person" to fit in there, in some capacity.

Remember, we have no idea just HOW big any of these rolls will be. This may just be a case of universe building. (in before - we saw how well that working out in ASM2)

Why are they throwing so many characters into this movie? This reeks of "let's throw lots of stuff on the screen but not give real focus or depth to any of them."

Why not just give us one or two villains and do them properly? Shredder got a totally slapdash treatment in the last movie and this one isn't shaping up to be much better - it's obvious that it's just going to be a case of "Look - dozens of shiny things on the screen! Familiar character names from your childhood! Give us money!"

Sachs is completely redundant and unnecessary. What does he bring to the story? Nothing. But now we're going to be saddled with him because Bay gave him a three-picture deal for the TMNT movies so we have to live with Bay's horrible filmmaking decisions.
