Original cartoon soundtrack RECREATION in progress
As some members know I've been working on recreating as much of the OT score as time permits. These tracks were made in Fruityloops using custom & modified sounds from several keyboards I own aswell as drum machines etc. For the most part I'm doing these from memory but I've used the cartoon for a referance or two here & there. This link will bring you to a folder with 7 songs, they're the only ones I've done so far. They're also probably the most notable (familiar) songs from the early days so I'm sure fans will enjoy. I know many will think "This isnt worth downloading, its probably very amatuer" but I ask that you judge after you hear them. Obviously in this day & age the kits/keys wont be so 80's orcheesey & maybe to some it'll lose substance for that, but really its just the same but with 'real' sounding instruments. Well I'll do more as time goes on, & update with new links every couple of songs. If anyone would care to suggest a certain song, or provide me with a video clip/audio sample to help further this project, please do so!
Enjoy! EDIT: Well guys, I've decided to pick this back up again. Here you can download what we've got so far, which includes the original songs (fixed and remastered) as well as 2 new ones! http://powderakacaseyjones.bandcamp....ted-soundtrack & I need a favor from those of you who are willing to help and want to see this project continue. In order to recreate these songs, I need audio references. If you can provide clips, taken from the DVD's for me to learn & recreate by ear, I would really appreciate it. Or, you could simply provide youtube links to videos that feature some portions of the music (This is for American users only, as most of the clips everyone can see internationally are for one reason or another region blocked here- I wouldn't want you guys to go to the effort for nothing.). So I hope everyone enjoys what I've done so far! Thanks for checking it out. Note: The technodrome theme is the same one available for download at the technodrome mainpage but remastered with added sounds. EDIT: New Cover-

Hopefully you can get instruments that sound like the original instruments, that's the only gripe I have with these. The next song you should add is the battle theme that is prominent in Season 4. (Don't know about other seasons, I've only been watching through this one so far)

You've done a great job, Powder! My favorite ones are the "Splinter Explains" and "A Positive Plot" (mostly for tuba sound). I do think it would be great to take your musical cues and try to adapt it to the proper instruments. Keep up the amazing work!

There is some song that is a version of the theme song that is played in NAME THAT TOON and KRANGENSTEIN LIVES and I am not sure if it is played in any other episodes but I think you will know what I mean when you watch those 2 episodes again.

These are amazing! I love that they have titles too. How long does it take to make these? I should start making some too to help out.
My favourite music was only played 4 or 5 times ever and only in the first two seasons. In episode 2, while looking for the technodrome, while going through the pipes in the sewer where Raphael falls thru one and says "they don't pay me enough to take this kind of abuse." The music playing in the background of that scene is my absolute favourite! |
