I'm doing everything I can to resist buying these because I just don't need another line of TMNT, but the four brothers are still available at 5Ktoys if you're still thinking about grabbing them.

But unfortunately not at the "boutique toy" world. A mass-produced (Hasbro/Playmates) line at this scale could basically be as widely offered as G.I. Joe. Vehicles, Playsets all much better than at the current larger scales.

It's ashame because honestly the absolute best scale for toy collecting to build a world is 4". The accessories and vehicles and playsets that come at that scale can be incredible.



I'm honestly surprised to hear this. My experience with similar toys (like Hiya, or the Hot Toys Aliens "Snap Kits" from some years back) is that the build quality is not even remotely close to what Hasbro does at this scale. Usually you move an arm on a toy from one of these Chinese companies and the plastic literally tears or just falls apart. So this is cool to hear, although I regret even more not picking these up when they were available....

Thanks for the head's up, guys. I am very tempted to pull the trigger. I am going to sit on it for a day or two to decide. The other day I found the original NECA Turtles in Disguise set at Target (crazy - years after the fact) and I carried it around, mulled it over and left it there.

So I'm going to give this the same consideration and if they are still available in a couple of days I'll either have picked them up or let them go. Just like Josh, I'm in so deep on so many TMNT lines that I need to make firm calls at this point.

I'm not getting Casey. I wasn't to impressed with him. I'm on the fence with the Triceratons but probably will end up passing on them. I think they look good but these figures are pricey.

Hobby wise I'm mainly a comic guy who gets some toys on the side. Joytoy has already taken a nice bite out of my comic budget. I might get a couple foot Soldiers but unless something else really nice comes along I'm probably done with Joytoy for the near future.

Dipped my toe in this line with Splinter for the dual purpose of putting him on my IDW shelf since BST AXN never made him for some odd reason and he looked close enough.

Unfortunately he’s a little diminutive, didn’t realize how small this lines scale was. He comes to the top of Mikey’s plastron and around Shredder’s belly button, so not too bad. I’ll probably keep him since the only other option I could use would be NECA TLR Splinter and that probably wouldn’t look right.
