Favorite Original Toyline figure?
The original toyline really doesn't get as much praise as it deserves. Everyone remembers and holds it dearly, but the sculpting, paint, and diversity of the line holds up and is still impressive. I'd argue that it's in the top 5 toylines of all time, and I'm sure most other fans would as well.
What's your favorite figure? I'm gonna say Tokka. It's not most peoples first choice, but hear me out- Tokka is awesome. The squat, chunky sculpt is both aesthetically pleasing and adds to the play value of the figure. The paint work on Tokka is pretty well done, and I can see hints of a paint wash years before that would become a commonly used practice in the toy industry. His design? Top tier, it even beats out Slash's original design for me. Tokka is just a satisfying figure to own. |

I've always loved Mondo's figure. I like his look and colors.
The Jim Lee figures are easily a favorite of mine as well.

I too always liked the Mondo Gecko figure. Lots of nice detailing and colours. Probably my favourite, aside from the Turtles who simply hold nostalgic value, not necessarily great figures from this line.
Other notable mentions for me: Krang was a favourite (in his bubble walker) and also Mikey in his surfing gear. One figure I never had but always thought looked almost spot on was Ray Fillet. Still look for him on eBay from time to time. Agree with everything you say about this line though Snake, spot on! Never had that Tokka either, he looks great!

I would say the Movie Star versions of the Turtles are my favorite. The giants too.
Tokka looks cool. |

Lt. Leo or Rock N' Roll Leo. Shogun Shoate, Slash and Shogun Triceraton (sans helmet) are close behind.

Mike as Frankenstein's Monster. Love the face sculpt and hunched look, and the paint is great too.

One of my all time favorites is Walkabout, I don't know why I've always loved the wallaby, though Pizza Face was a close second.

Was always a fan of Casey, Scumbug, Slash, Chrome Dome, Leatherhead, Mutagen Man, Mondo Gecko, Krang.
Characters I liked but thought were kind of boring play wise as a kid: Usagi, Ratking, Gen. Tragg, Metal head, Panda Kahn, Ground Chuck |

Sewer Surfin' Leonardo was great, I still have him.
Krang with his Bubble Walker was great too. The Brain-Drain was a fun accessory. I also love Storage Shell Leonardo. Can't beat the amount of cool accessories he has, especially the armadillo club! I prefer the reissue version, with the yellow translucent plastic. Makes him stand out more. |

besides the original turtles, Slam Dunkin' Don was always a favorite of mine, but also one that I never actually owned.
Breakfightin' Raph was 2nd place.

I gotta say the Movie Star turtles are probably tops.

I had to have Storage Shell Michelangelo. He stood out to me in the commercial more than any of the others and Raphael was my favorite. The sickle really hooked me.
