How often do you guys eat fruits/vegetables?
I’m trying to live a healthier lifestyle, and I’ve been hitting the gym a lot. I’ve even managed to lose over 30 lbs. That’s great and all, but I realize that if I really want to get healthy, I gotta start eating healthier too. And that means eating fruits and vegetables. Sometimes I’ll go whole weeks without eating any of either, and that’s obviously not a good thing. But I’m kinda at a loss as to what’s considered the norm when it comes to these kinds of things.
So, in order to get a good idea, how often do you guys eat fruits/veggies? Is it a thing where normal people eat one at least once a day, or something? |

I think ideally yeah, you should eat at least one serving of fruits and vegetables each a day, but I don't live up to that either usually.
I've been trying to be healthier lately too so I feel you

Congratulations on your weight loss, DestronMirage22.
It's easier if you make it part of your routine--like always grabbing a banana with breakfast, or having a small salad with spinach or mixed greens with dinner. If you pack a lunch every day for work, throw some carrots, celery, or an apple in there. A daily multivitamin supplement is a good idea also, if you are not already taking one.

The recommended intake of fruit and veg is 5 portions per day (not sure how much that is promoted in other countries)
I don't usually manage that much but I do eat them. Edit: I wish chocolate was good for me Last edited by newfan; 11-17-2017 at 10:25 AM. |

Thats answer is not enough.....
Congrats Mirage I know how tough it is to lose weight and how tough it can be to keep off the weight, but stay consistent and you'll be fine. But me personally I don't get enough veggies I usually get enough fruits via OJ and bananas.

Daily bananas but not big on fruit, don't mind it but it's not something I seek. I love vegetables on the other hand and eat plenty of them a day.

Whenever I can, but admittedly I don't eat them everyday. Especially not fruit. Tbh a lot of fruit is high on sugar, so you're not really supposed to eat 5 apples a day or anything like that.

I eat at least a couple of servings st each meal. Usually only eat meat at one meal.
I’m a bona fide salad addict.

I eat vegetables a LOT but it doesn't make a difference cause I still have a poor diet.
