Original TMNT Storyboard

Recently purchased the storyboard from the first half of the movie. Here are a few pages.

Incredible stuff here! Super cool of you to share it with us. Congrats on the score!

It's really neat to see what could have been/was changed. Probably the most interesting thing of note is how the infamous bell removal scene from Secret Of The Ooze was actually planned for the 1990 flick, as a demonstration of Tatsu's skill! Wow. Also, check out that violence! A nunchaku to the groin, oof.

PS: Nice collection! Those Dooney pieces are great.

I love stuff like this. Any chance you’ll post the whole set eventually? Or you could just sell the whole thing to me for a profit. Whatever works. Thank you so much for sharing. I would have loved to have seen a straight on shot of Shredder sitting at his throne.

I will try to scan the whole thing eventually. I kind of want to see if IDW would be interested in printing something for the 30th anniversary next year.

An official release would be amazing. It would make a great companion booklet to a special edition DVD for the movie also. Maybe you should hit up nickelodeon in the right department to try and spin that.

Killer score! Storyboard material from the first film is super rare. Congrats!

I have the script version of this, but the panels are much smaller and spread out several per page. it's great to see the art in better detail! I'm loving the extra camera notes. I'm guessing this is from the camera department crew?

As everyone has said, thanks for posting. I absolutely plan on sharing mine via a blog project I've been planning for years.

Yeah, that would be my guess. It looks pretty untouched so maybe it was an extra copy. I am hoping he finds the other binder to complete it. I wish I could find out how many of these actually exist. I hope you post your script soon, that would be very cool to see.

I'm on the lookout for the film's screenplay as I'm looking to write an article about the film's deleted scenes, similar to a piece I wrote on The Land Before Time.

Over a decade ago, a user named Weapon X posted a ton of scans from the script, but most of those images are X-ed out now.
