Starbucks does tend to carry *special* seasonal beverages that they won't always tell the public, unless they are requested. So, that is something to look into if you're into Starbucks. I literary cracked up when I heard over the radio one morning *some years ago* that one of their special coffee brews for Valentine's Day was called the Dirty Love Bean.

Hmmm...yes...I'll keep that in my notes...and forget it the next time I go to Starbucks...
Of course, Starbucks makes me think of my brother because he works there at this moment...and occasionally makes vines about his experiences there.

Was in Walmart with my mom after she picked me up from work (my car is still being worked on). Saw this shirt and she got it for me. It's a 2XL boys so I think it will fit okay.

I got to watch the first half dozen episodes of Avatar with the 7 year old daughter of a friend of mine who'd never seen the show before. It was all kinds of awesome.

Man, Indigo, I totally want that shirt! Might have to look to see if they have anything like that.
Happy maker: Posting another chapter of my fan fic though it will probably be my last one for a while.

Another good day with my grandmother, who helped me do some housecleaning before my parents came back from their vacation. With cream liquors from Jamaica. One of which was technically South African. Haven't gotten into them yet, though.
Then I had dinner with my parents. This weekend, I have seen two plecostomus fish of different unusual sizes. One, the tiniest one I've ever seen, barely longer than my grandmother's fingernail, and the other two about the length of my arm from elbow to wrist. I'm starting to think plecostomus are my favorite fish...they amuse me and was my longest-living fish as a kid. RIP Cleany.

Was one of the folded ones on a table in my store (and presumably most stores), so check there first.

Ok, kinda gross but half the growth my fish (an oranda) has had for a while came off. It's been this loose fleshy thing for quite a while and I'd been hoping it might eventually come off, hopefully without hurting her. Now if the rest will eventually do the same that would be great.
Not sure what this is/has been. It's like some kind of nasal growth since it affects both 'nostrils,' but only a little bit on her right while the left went crazy. I've read about pompom goldfish, including an oranda type, that do develop a nasal growth, but she was already large when this started turning up sometime last year or so, is loose moving, and isn't uniform like pics I've seen of actual "pompom" fish. Have wondered though if there is some mixed genetics there and some gene turned on and went weird. Glad part of it is gone though. Hopefully it won't come back. Other fish happy maker... checked my email and found a coupon from Petco for a free birthday goodie (for fish and other small pets) up to $4, so will take that with me when I run over there this evening. |

Awesome to hear and happy birthday too.
Happy maker: Our sink is finally fixed! Now we have hot water and can do the dishes in the kitchen sink instead of the bathroom sink.

Not me, I'd rather not have another b-day that soon. lol It's a coupon for pet's b-day, via whatever date I'd picked in the Petco rewards program account. (I vaguely remember choosing a date in Oct., may have been my half b-day.)
Hard to find something good under $4 in that place, but she got a bag of shiny new gem-like plastic stones. Hopefully that makes up for the stinky meds I just gave the tank just as a precaution. |

My current happy-maker is gathering up some goodies for the next potential zombie-walk / Halloween idea.

Ah, my bad, Indigo. I didn't know you could do that, but that's cool.

Found out yesterday that I made employee of the month- for August! Uh well better late than never, I guess? At least I got a 25$ WM gift card out of it. Which was good because I am nearly on fumes in my bank account and we needed kitty litter and some food n stuff. And payday isn't until Thursday so.... Great timing!!
