The release dates for all countries

43 countries get the movie on the 1st week, that's more than last year, It was 21

Japan get there release date on June 11th which is an improvement from getting the 1st movie in February this year.

That's pretty good. But I've always wondered why different countries have to have different release dates. Studios could find a date that is good for all countries (no major holidays, etc) and just work with that. That way if a movie's bad, word won't spread from the countries that got it first in time to destroy the opening weekend.
Japan got it this February? That's really bad. Did they just forget that it hadn't been released in Japan yet and rushed it out?

It was meant to be in December 2014 but it got pushed back to February, I expect its because Japan and other countries had there own big movies to see.

Before the trailer went online the release date here in The Netherlands was August 18th, glad they moved it to June 16th.

Glad to see UK is getting it at the same time as US this time!

I guess the staggered release cost them last time with piracy and bad word of mouth. Nice to see more countries getting it around the same time this time.

I'll be honest - the first film was bad but the trailer has me optimistic for this. It looks like crazy over the top fun. Yes it'll still be a dumb pop corn flick but as long as it doesn't insult my intelligence like the first did I'll be more than happy with that. The trailer looks like the OT given a live action movie, yes I'd prefer Mirage but my inner 8 year old is pretty happy so far!

I'm amazed that we never saw any leaked images of Bebop and Rocksteady's mutated form, Remember how for the first film, or first look of the Turtles were those maquettes?

We have not seen a single leak of those two characters until the trailer was out, we know what they look like.

and I know they are keeping Krang under wraps as a surprise.

No I doubt it, there will be still a lot of fighting in it, also adult jokes and probably will have a few serious moments in the movie. They got to keep the adults happy

Even if it ends up being a PG it will still be a 12A in the UK (which is an equivalent to a PG13 in the US)because of Mikey's Nunchucks, as our laws on Nunchucks here are still quite strict.
