Personally, I would get behind the idea of Leonardo being the "trickster" of the group.

I like a character with charismatic and jester-like traits. In my opinion, those are great attributes that would help make a character more dynamic.

Subsequently, I would also accept Raphael leading (and hopefully, guiding) the group. It's a welcoming and appreciating change.

I hope that they won't disregard these changes.

April being a teen again was an easy guess, it worked well the first time and with the show aimed at kids it makes sense for April to be the same age as the Turtles.

Of course April looks to have some magic cat creature/pokemon or whatever that is, so it seems like she'll have "powers" similar to Nick April but in a different manner. Instead of telepathic powers, her cat is probably going to transform into weapons like that glowing bat she has in the artwork.

Personally, I'm kind of half expecting the "cat" to talk and essentially be this show's version of Spike from My Little Pony. Some kind of go between communication tool with some leader of Magicland.

If she had some aliens powers then she wouldnt wear glasses. Maybe she knows some magic tricks but i dont think she will have any special powers unless she is an alien or has been part of a experiement. But probbly she just go to a school for magicians. And there, there are aninals who can.talk like that cat. Maybe her father was a powerful dark magician who wanted to conquer the world. Something like Voldemort from Harry Potter. And that how she got those powers.

I don't know that charismatic is a word I would use to describe many of the incarnations of Michelangelo.

I've asked a lot of people who are pleased about the new Leonardo Spin, and most of them haven't been able to tell me what it is about Leonardo that they like aside from the fact that he's the leader. That's less a personality trait and more at job description.

So I'm more than willing to give this a chance and maybe give the old boy some life outside of being the substitute teacher.

A user on here gave a page full of reasons he liked Leo best, Indigo did too, I remember mostly feeling agreement with their points. course most of my familiarity is with Nicks Leo, though their variation (at least in the toons?) is only a little.

I found that the Nick cartoon did a great job at giving Leo a personality. Before he did come off as a "stoic leader" with no other character traits.

I mean, Raphael is still my favorite turtle, but Leo does come in as a close second.

But I've always adored the idea of Raphael being a potential leader. Him and Leo always came off as the same. Like the two sides of one coin. But I didn't like that in Nick version where they discarded that aspect by making him a panicking wimp when he took lead. Blehh

The glowing green bat suggests to me that April has mutagenic powers.
I wouldn't be surprised if those powers are similar to GL.
