Close to 10 years, I'd bet. Unless a bankable director actually approaches them with a vision of course.

After the train-wreck of a film reboot we got previously no thanks to Michael Bay, they're hopefully going to take their time and look for the right person to helm the next movie adaptation. I'd say hold out for the likes of Steven Spielberg. I know it's a pipe dream, but you never know. He might take the TMNT into a direction we never dreamed of before.

I think it'll be faster than most are anticipating. Cross your fingers and toes that the success of Logan convinces Paramount to grow a pair and make something less childish. I don't see it happening, but eh-- a guy can wish.

Stop trying to argue facts, guy. It's even been confirmed by the powers that be. Don't let your bias make a fool of you.

My interest was piqued when Legendary Pictures was allegedly going to make a TMNT film but that years and years ago. Their output was a little better then, as well. I was really upset the day I learned Platinum Dunes got to put their hands into the TMNT movie cookie jar. I am not sure I have seen a movie produced by them that I have actually liked. Their horror remakes are bland as all get out and most of the time are flat out terrible. They even pitched a Halloween film and my head nearly exploded (granted, what Rob Zombie did was just as bad, if not worse.) And, of course, there is Michael Bay, who even as a director makes films that are essentially Abercrombie & Fitch mixed with blatant sexism mixed with junior high-level humor and topped off with over the top action that you can barely see because the damn sun is in your eyes and the camera won't stop freaking moving... |

Even if you ignore the numbers that clearly show it bombing hard, the fact that Platinum Dunes acknowledged there wouldn't be a third movie almost immediately after release should tell you just how poorly it did.
