I don't really see what the issue is. I haven't stepped foot in a library since grade school, either. I'm a working adult, if I want a book, I buy it.

I'm a collector. I like to audition a book series for free, and then go back and buy them if they're good enough to warrant a reread in 2 years. Get a feel for how much shelf space I might need to free up...

Libraries are awesome if you have a good one nearby, I've been to some ****** ones, it's a shame they're dying. I prefer to borrow books than to buy, I mean most books you read you aren't going to be re-reading anytime soon. My personal library is rather small but full of stuff I'll actually pick up to read.
Sadly I don't have a good library for fiction, so I usually "borrow" those online But for non-fiction I have a great library nearby and I love just going around and picking up books to read. I'm going to miss it when I move. |
