I've never seen the original, but the Pacino Scarface is an overrated turd. Don't see where any rage will logically come from, the famous version already totally altered the characters background.

Regardless of whether you like it or not, it was a cultural phenomenon and it’s still pretty popular. Writing it off as a simple remake of an older movie is really taking it out of its cultural context. You could say the same thing about the Wizard of Oz, but the fact that it wasn’t the first adaptation of the source material doesn’t lessen its cultural value.
