TMNT: Unplugged series 4 Heroclix
News broken quietly last week of a fourth set of TMNT heroclix. It is set for a late March release. Nothing else is known at this time aside from it including be 30 sculpts two of which will be General Tragg and Lieutenant Granitor. The third set was disappointing with just variants of already released characters. Here is to hoping the 1 character thst I want, Agent Bishop will be included.

Yayyyy! I was just wondering if we'd get another set last week.
It wasn't entirely.

I found the Fast Forces of TMNT: Unplugged. Apparently it is going for a generic 8-bit look wirh the 4 Turtles and The Shredder. I guess that is where General Tragg and the lesser-known Lieutenant Granitor come in, however I hope it is a basic look opposed to the 8 bit look. Also, it appears that the release has been pushed back a month. At this point beyond the above seven we have another Bebop and Rocksteady. I am still holding out for an Agent Bishop.

A tabletop game does not have to be plugged in like a game system does. It is unplugged because it features video game characters without a game system being plugged in.

Not what I was expecting, but I'm still down.
Wish they would have used actual palettes from a game.

I wonder why none of the secondary enemies used as bystander tokens don't use their actual names (Roadkill Rodney/A6 Annihilator/Tubular Transport/Cement Man/etc.)

So it's out today and I've got a case on its way to me.
I don't wanna say they've gotten lazy now, since there are some new sculpts and reusing ones is very common... But this is supposed to be 2012 Alopex And this is supposed to be Granitor. What?

This is is disappointing. The only new characters are General Tragg and Lieutenant Granitor! Is there a limitation of usable characters or is WizKids simply uncreative?
Here is the full list of figures. http://www.hcrealms.com/index.php?page=units

I collect specifics, one of every Batman villain set and one of every Spider-Man villain with 9 TMNT figures. My brother however has 650, mostly DC and about 60 of those are Marvel. He plays the game and lets friends of his borrow to play against him. He bought a couple of maps through troll and toad. He plays for fun and uses the pre-2012 rules because of the number of figures he has instead of playing from one particular comic company or set. The rules of teams can technically have Casey Jones (1987) and Captain Kirk on the Justice League.

Yeah I've never played it either. I just like collecting them. I have no specifics on who I want/like. I just haven't been getting as many lately since my local comic shop stopped carrying them.

Are the 2012 Turtles in this set really the same sculpt AND paint job as the first ones? They have different dials/powers but it would have literally been just as easy to give them a new paint scheme.
Kinda. I keep them in translucent drawers.

I have Batman, Robin, and Batgirl all with batrangs grouped together on a self and I have Spider-Man and Black Cat on the opposite site. The shelf below has the four 1987 TMNT. All the villains are separated in three giant sized ziplock bags in a drawer. I set them up some times. Its pretty cool setting up a nearly complete rogues gallery. I wish I could say the same about TMNT, but it appears Nickelodeon has limited the character usage allowed judging by the third and fourth sets have a total of two new characters, General Tragg and Lieutenant Granitor.

Third set had plenty of new characters, brah. And I'm not sure why you assume Nickelodeon is to blame for set 4... that'd be like my fourth guess at why there's so few debuts.
