Though I do remember being invited to a "2014 is cool group" where they talked bad about a few users like Powder.

The most drama I remember here was the panties signatures. And even if the forum ha seen more active times, in general the drome has never been a super active forum besides a few spikes here and there. The fact that forums are a dying breed doesn't help but it's not affecting it as much IMO. All forums change over time and become different things as regular users grow and leave them and newer users change it.
Okay, I have to ask... panties signatures???

It was a thing awhile back. Just search "booty sigs" on the forum search. The signature feedback thread still has some on members that posted in 2007-2010

Edit: Cqb101 still has one on

To me it's one forum with sections. I press New Posts and see what people discuss. And lately, TMNT topics have kinda been a bit boring.

Also social media has killed forums since like 2010 or so. Nowadays people are far more likely to post about what they like on their twitter, tumblr, etc. or just go to youtube rather than post on traditional forums like this one.

Most of the online forums I've been to over the last decade have pretty much dried up in activity. I feel like forums are becoming an outdated means of communication for people, and the young teens of today won't use them over social media.

Forums are soon going to turn into something only us old folk use.

We're better off for it.

There's a certain sense of authority, knowledge, and community that makes me prefer forums to social media. Especially on the collecting side, where Facebook has pretty much taken over.

Also, we should bring back booty sigs.

Agreed. With forums things are are just more personal. You get to know people and it feels like a real community.

I've seen this suggested a couple of times. Is anybody actually gonna do it? It'd provide a few good laughs. (Though it might go against some rules and mods would probably have to get involved :/ )

It's got to the point where all you have to do is read the thread names and you can more or less predict how the conversation will go. I still read the TMNT stuff first, but I end up in here eventually.

Communities are better, because there you can just share your interests, fandoms or whatever. Social media is for sharing your private life.

That depends on the community, and it omits the ability of one to form a community on different social networking platforms.

Personally, I prefer the blog format to the forum format.
There's just something more aesthetically pleasing to me about nested comments.

Whenever there comes something new, like film, episode or comic, it goes better again.
