I hope you guys know I'm not being totally serious. I haven't ordered the book, but this is only because of a slight hope it gets re-released in a smaller print run special edition for Mirage fans.
I just hope they make sure Ultimate Collection 5 has the duotones before they go to print. |

So I'm looking at getting Vol 4. for Christmas.
Has this been correct? This duoshading issue? I've never read City at War or "Shades of Grey". I don't want this to F up my experience. The duoshading is only missing in 3 issues right? Any insight in the last 2+ years on this would be helpful. |

Tom has already said in another thread it's not being corrected.

Oh well. Thanks man.
I'm still going to get it. It is still official Ultimate version. Oversized and nice.... with annotations. So basically 2 issues in VOL 4 have some shading issues the other one isn't a problem it sounds like. Might be kinda cool to see the pencils being inked without shades over them...? It will be alright. I'm just happy IDW is doing all of this. |

the oversize is a great reading experience and the annotations definitely enhance the experience! do you have vol 5 as well?

Sorry to bump this old thread, but I was recently revisiting my Ultimate Collection books and got depressed when I hit Vol. 4. It's such a shame that there was never a re-release with the shading added back in. I know that a re-release of that scope for a big hardcover book is not trivial, but damn it this taints what is supposed to be the definitive collection for Mirage TMNT.
Man, I just can't get over it. No matter how hard I try to get over it I can't help but feel annoyed every time I see those coloring book-esque pages. It's even worse that this oversight occurred within the City at War series, arguably the best arc in all of Mirage TMNT comics. |

I think the ultimate collections are being re-released in TPBs now, right? Maybe you should ask Bobby if it’s a possible opportunity to fix the error.
