Happy birthday, you unfunny slow drag of a movie. Seriously, this has to be the most boring movie out of all six. The only nice I can say about it is that it's better than OotS, since some parts of 3 were at least a little entertaining. Which says very little, given how much of a moldy dogturd OotS is.

I personally like this film much more than 2007 and 2014, even think it has some pros over Secret of the Ooze, only majorly let down by the costumes and some of the characters like Walker.

I love AVGNs review of the film as well and some of the lines will always forever make me a smile ("help, I'm a turtle and I can't get up!" and "Sleezball" are my favourites)

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

I half want to say "Already?" and half want to say "Is that all?"

Well, happy 25th to it. Too bad it couldn't have been done better. Esp those costumes... but at least they provided that suitable pic to use; not sure other movie versions could top that.

I've always loved the illustrated poster art. It's a shame the first two movies didn't get a similar treatment.

Wasn't it set in 1603, and the comic adaption set in 1593? Or maybe it was the other way?

Yeah, it's pretty nice, that "without a clue" part is unfortunate tho.

As to how to make the movie better, ancient Foot Clan is pretty much the only way to tie it into the first two movies, since we don't have reincarnation or Utroms.

It might be an interesting dilemma for the Turtles to decide whether to help the innocent villagers fight off the Foot or not, because if they defeat the Foot, Yoshi will never go to New York, and the Turtles will never meet Splinter.

Despite the costume, the story and setting is pretty good.

The worst one is Secret of the Ooze tbh.

I don't hate this movie, but I can't say I liked it much either. It's way better than the dreadful bay movies

It has its good (or good enough for what it is?) moments. Personally my favorite aspect/part of the whole thing is the Turtles in the samurai gear. Too cute. (And yeah, has the benefit of disguising those rather lacking suits. lol)

I wonder why they changed them, that part will make it harder to take seriously but I can look past that once caught up in the story. I'll likely watch it, then I've seen them all.

wasn't the ooze just alien industrial waste in the comics? it was still industrial waste. and if the cut shot of tmnt 2 is to be believed, the prof WAS an utrom in disguise.

Happy 25th anniversary, TMNT 3. Oddly enough, I like Turtles in Time. Maybe for nostalgic reasons, as it was the only tmnt film that I saw as a kid, but I watched it for the first time in decades a few days ago and thought it was still quite enjoyable. Better than Secret of the Ooze and TMNT 2014 anyway, imo.

I never cared much for the films at all as a child. It was the original animated series, and Archie and Fleetway comics who were my favourite TMNT.

I love TMNT III. It's way better than SotO. At least the third film has a coherent story line, better characterization and better writing overall. I don't get all the flack the third film gets. If you compare the second and third films closely, there are so many more holes in SotO. Like a previous poster said, SotO was basically a sequel to a kiddy Turtles movie that never actually happened. That's the #1 glaring fault with film two - it tries to pick up where the first, dark, gritty, well written movie left off. But it could never do so, because of the execution, because of the nonexistent explanation of what happened to key characters like Casey Jones, the change from Hoag to Turco, the cruddy change in Turtle suits. Why did they so drastically change Donatello's look? It was just a huge fail for me. His bo staff was a kid's toy. The story with the origin of the ooze had potential but it was bastardized and straight up poorly executed. There's also a lot of carelessness in the production. For instance, when Tatsu starts busting stuff up in the junk yard, you clearly see this little punk who was lucky enough to get a spot in a Turtles film smiling like a fool because he couldn't control himself. And the film crew did not spot this? Ha.

TMNT III excelled with better story and plot, real character development for Michelangelo & Raphael, Casey was back, and there are truly comedic moments in that movie, especially with the honor guard and Casey back in NYC. Plus, who doesn't like Turtles in feudal Japan?

All in all, SotO is waaaay overrated, while TMNT III is way underrated.

Agree with Donnie. He pretty much summed up why I like this film.
