Picked up this menagerie of figures, paid about $3 per figure. Hit the BIN thinking it was Spot, not Hot Shot. Still not too bad of a price.
These were some of Playmates' most creative and colorful figures. I will be keeping some of these and moving others towards other figures I am seeking. BTW, is one of these the rare April? One has a stripe the other doesn't.

good catch, can offer you parts for some of the figures, the belt with weapons for Monty Moose, or parts from Doctor El...

Thanks for the offer! I will hold off for now....I actually just bought an accessory lot. I will first try to complete my figures from here. (It seems at times, these darn things are worth more than the figures themselves.)

I got a great box from Tom at Myteefinestuff.com containing:
Needlenose in his box (great art - love these Mega Mutants), The 4 Apollo Astronaut Turtles (These guys are too cool) Kooky Cavalry - I really like the cowboys n Indians Turtles. A series of sticker sets to complete my Carnival car, Lair, Android Body and Cheapskate. And, the sewer cover and front safety guard, completing my Lair set. Very happy with these. Huge box, full of pink packing pellets. Great fun just wading in and pulling things out Thank you Tom!!! |

I had to unwrap the Turtles.
The Needlenose is still mint in its box, so I will wait till I get home to open him up. The sticker sets will be getting put on their places later as well, and i nearly forgot that I got the parts required to complete my Mega Mutant Killer Bee. Last edited by DVD; 09-17-2013 at 12:17 AM. |

I always reply to their email and just ask what they graded. I have a fan clun bebop coming back on Monday, I am exited too. It only graded Afa50 though, lol. I have a hydro skimmer and hot spot and some others scheduled to finish Monday, but they are delinquent lately. |

I don't always ask, but rare stuff I can't help it.
I agree afa50 isn't so bad, they display very well cased I agree with you. They are really tough on grades, so 50 just means it's a little rough. Technically, it is "very good" condition. |

Results: hot spot graded an awesome 85. Also got two 80 Scratches. Got a 70 Scratch as well, which I thought would grade a 75. Overall, pretty happy. Hot spot is the highest on the population report for AFA, being the only 85.

I had to go into work today, and found a very quick delivery from Tom..
Including a dozen 'new' Turtles. The Treks are my 4th set - first two sets bought in the UK during original release and gone the way of the dodo. The third, purchased in US by a mate but lost in cyberspace as they never arrived. And this set, ordered at the tail end of last week. I had to have the Wild West Turtles, and the BeBop n Rocksteady were too cool to pass on. Another Wild West figure in the guise of a trooper, and the midshipman completed a set. All in all, I like em.. just, don't know whrere to put em!! Last edited by DVD; 09-17-2013 at 12:17 AM. |
