Buffy

So, yeah...
Buffy Shellhammer ... the kid from "Poor Little Rich Turtle"

You think she'll show up in any comics at some point?

Honestly I wouldn't mind if in the background somewhere there was a skyscraper called 'Shellhammer Chemical'. That would be cute.

Well, it would certainly be a neat nod if she were to. For some reason, I always liked that episode.

The funny thing about that episode was that Mikey forgot all about Kala in that one and was in love with Buffy. And then every Neutrino episode after that, Mikey and Kala acted normal around each other and the goo-goo eyes stopped. So... did they break up off camera before the show went to CBS?

I've seen that episode, she's not very likable and I'm sure there are a ton of similar chracters to pick from already.

A Buffy/Angel/TMNT crossover would be... interesting.

Ha! Hope no offense was taken.

However, while I have your attention, I would encourage you to finish & submit whatever outstanding pages you may have for the TMNT #2 fan remix tribute!

We still lack page 20!

I know you are being sarcastic but to answer your question, DC Comics bought all the superhero characters from Archie a few years back. There was a minor push with them that failed to go anywhere.

Wow, that's quite surprising. I wonder why DC thought they would be a good fit for their company.

DC had Brave and the Bold vo.2 (2007) as an ongoing then. The idea was to integrate Milestone characters pairing them with similar DC characters to introduce them to a wider audience. DC was supposed to do the same with Archie Comics heroes using Brave and the Bold as a springboard to mainstream DC integration BUT 1. JMS had "more important assignments" with Superman and Wonder Woman ongoings AND Superman:Earth One. The man obviously could not juggle his assignments so after the success of Earth One DC placed him off all his books and quietly cancelled Brave and the Bold instead of entrusting another writer. JMS's short run of 9 issues was to pick up with Archie superoheroes with #39 but got canned with #36. Milestone crossover character featured the lowest sales to boot and DC just wasted a purchase. Sorry for the run on just giving you an account of what happened and it appears all but forgotten aside form a message board post of the initial purchase in the summer of 2008. Perhaps Archie Comics bought them back? If Saban rides itself of Power Rangers only to buy back its product after the company that purchased it is through with it it would make sense.

Wow! The road not taken, indeed.

I've read a few of those Brave & Bold issues. Wasn't that the one where Superman teamed up with Catwoman? Now that was a hoot!

Yeah, its a shame nothing materialized. Brave and the Bold's cover gallery can be found here. I own the whole set.

http://dcindexes.com/features/galler...&seriesid=3111

#36 delayed repeatedly and eventually outright cancelled as the "least important" of JMS's overbooked assignments. It was to feature Adam Strange and Lois Lane while #37 was to cofeature Supergirl and Phantom Stranger. #38 was said to be set to cover Jonathan Kent and Jor-El and #39 on was to focus on an Archie superhero which one have a close enough powered character teaming up with them one at a time from DC's mainstream line.

Aw, cool!

I like it when DC does a Lois Lane story (solo or team-up), so it's too bad #36 never hit stands.

This is the intended issue that never got published.

This an older series you might be interested in. Don't forget about my other smaller community hyperlinked in my signature if you want to talk more about this.
