Today I saw this really beautiful sight:
Spoiler:

This tree has this crazy amount of vines or roots that circled around it and haved stayed like that. My weak photos don't begin to do it justice. But this tree was just a sight to behold. Really made my day.

Semi-unexpectedly growing lettuce...

My sister had gotten a small head of lettuce a few plus weeks ago from some food delivery company she gets stuff from each week or so. The thing came in a plastic produce box with some roots and dirt attached to it. I kinda felt bad for the thing sitting in the fridge since it was still a living plant. She cleaned out the fridge the other day and tossed it out among other things. Was only ever used a little. Spotted it on the top in the open trash bag, still in its box, so I rescued it and stuck it in a planter. I figured it would either root itself or turn to mush... whatever its decision was fine.

So... it's now a happy lettuce that has grown a bit. I don't eat lettuce, but hey, my fish will, and why waste free food if it will continue growing? Though it may mostly just enjoy being a potted plant for however long it lives. lol

Kristin's back in the office today.

Dear, Lord...

Seriously, every time this girl talks to me time just slows down and all I hear is...

Happy makers...

That my manager screwing up my/the schedule worked in my favor and I got to keep the extra hours.

That it allowed me to finally work during the week, and not just the weekend. Which is soooo much quieter and easier and that I was getting stock put out the time went by quick even though I was there for eight hours; twice (or almost) as long as the dark crazy weekend shifts I keep getting stuck with.

Also when there is Turtles stuff among the stock I'm putting out. (I make sure they are taken care of in that place and easily seen. ) Put out a couple cute new TMNT (FW version) baseball caps for little boys. Damn I wish those were in the bigger boy sizes so they might fit!

We've all had that one coworker at some point or another we can't help but fantasize about hooking up with. To this day I can't set foot in a Wendy's without thinking back to my early 20s when I was particularly fond of this one co-worker I knew then by the name Melissa. Sadly, she was stuck in a crappy relationship with some loser who had gotten her pregnant at 17. To make matters worse, the d-bag even had the gall to cheat on her at one point. I can't help but wonder whatever became of them.

This is a little different, as she's less of a co-worker and more of a celebrity I've always been a little infatuated with growing up that I'm now suddenly interacting with on a daily basis.

But more to your point, yeah, I know what you mean. Much like you and entering a Wendy's, I can't go into a Boston Pizza without thinking of a girl I used to work with there. Funny the things we can never really shake, huh?

Managed to get a relatively decent price on a piece of aquarium decor.

Though I was not happy that the over 50% off sale was online only, and I wasted a trip running to the store to see if it applied there too... nope (hate that )... shipping at least was only $5.99, so still not too bad compared to the store price. (Was afraid shipping would be a lot worse it has some weight to it.) Aquarium decor is so stupidly expensive, and never on sale (at least not in stores).

I'd checked Ebay and Amazon for any cheaper ones... they wanted more. The store was $40, Ebay had one for over $50, and those listed on Amazon were upper $70s and $80s. Cripe, it's only made of resin.

Lol speaking of aquarium decor..... was at WalMart earlier this afternoon to pick up a few things before taking Demona to the vet and while wandering around I saw some aquarium plants in the pet section. Grabbed a couple of small ones for a fun Turtle pic idea I had- a classic Mirage scene!!

Minor update- was unable to upload the pics due to an unforseen internet issue. Will discuss in more detail later......

I got my Amazon account back. Seems like it's all fine now, I deleted the card info that was stored on it. I guess the culprit was after GiftCards since no orders was made and I don't have any Amazon GiftCards.

Now I can work on my commissions without worrying about that noise anymore.

Yesterday my NES refused to turn on and I got freaked out and bummed for the rest of the day. I thought it had finally stopped working on me.

But today I checked and it turns out the cord just got unplugged from the wall.
Silly me.

Needless to say, I'm happy I can still play some Earthbound!

When you need something at the pet store that you'd seen the other day and they only had ONE left and when you go back today they still have that one remaining.

I get the same feeling when I go to WalMart and find something I want and they only have one left and I can't get it on that visit. It always makes me happy when I can go back and it is still there!

I guess the announcement of the SNES Classic made me happy today, even if I'd have to jump through hoops to get one.

The decor piece for the aquarium came today. So far she isn't impressed, but I hope it will encourage her to explore that end of her tank more.

Also the two meds we did seem to have worked for her. Which, given that she seemed to have mild signs of dropsy (usually bad news), with a small area of mildly raised scales on either side (but lacked most other major symptoms), I'm very glad it's improved and did not worsen. Scales look smooth again.

Got me some cheap TMNT trades, Ult. Collection vol4 for under 1/2 price and a couple of the Classics volumes for 1/4th of the original price.
