Wow, I've read the whole thread from front to back..that's the coolest thread around here, gotta love it! I'm actually totally new to this whole commission stuff, but I really wanna dive right into it. Started my collection with this little piece here:

I really like that it's on that Mirage paper sheet..looks nice. Well as I said, this is only my start to this whole original art/commission game you guys got going here

I only have two head sketches from Kevin..but I'm planning on expanding my collection in that field.

If there is any advice I wish I had when I was starting out, it would be to sit down and think about what it is you want to collect. Have a clearly defined goal. That way you'll have an art collection that really complements itself, and at the same time you'll get less distracted by random pieces that pop up when you are trying to save for something more substantial.

Not to say that your goal can't change, but trust me, having one will make a difference in how you collect.

Welcome to the most expensive, but most rewarding arm of the hobby!

After purchasing the Leonardo Vs Shredder piece from Pedro (pl212) I decided to commission the rest of the gang as well. I then had to decide how I wanted them paired up. I decided to have Donatello with Splinter, Raphael with Casey and Michelangelo with April. I then had to come up with a background for all of the pieces. I love how everything came out. They are even better then I had imagined. And to top it all off Pedro even included an extra Michelangelo piece because he thought made me wait. He didn't have to but he did and it is greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend getting a piece by Pedro if you haven't already. He is a great guy to work with.

While I was SDCC last year I decided to get a sketch done by Kevin, I have a few sketches from him already so I changed it up and asked for some baby turtles. Im happy with the result!
