The second half of this year marks the 30th Anniversary of the Eastern European Revolutions of 1989. This occured around the time when the Fred Wolf TMNT Cartoon season 3 aired, the Archie TMNT Adventure switched from adapting Fred Wolf Cartoon episodes to developing own stories. George H. W. Bush was the President of the USA.

11/9/1989 is The Night The Wall Came Down. Thos is the unofficial end of the Cold War.

There was also the Tiananmen Square Massacre that took place in June.

Yes, and also the Reunification of Germany (3 October 1990), dissolution of the Soviet Union (25 December 1991) and also the start of the Yugoslavian Civil Wars (June 1991).

I was only 3. Coincidentally, it happened at the same time the Irish children’s tv strand The Den was filming its Christmas special in Moscow.
