DreamEx 1:6 scale figures

I thought I'd start a thread on what will be a developing range of figures.

Two figures of very high quality have been issued so far.

If there are no objections, I'll add in some Casey details, and more Shedder details later.
If though people want to continue with individual threads in individual figures, I'll abandon this one.

But for now, we have Shredder and Casey Jones .

Shredder :

More pics later today. When I find time to open him.

Inside the box! It's awesome.
Casey pics.

Shredder.
This is another fantastic figure from DreamEx.

He has though one minor issue of note.
When you get him, note the feet. The feet have to be unplugged to apply the armor . The pegging is NOT vertical. They go in at an angle, into foot rather than straight down, into the soul as you'd expect. Once you figure this out it's relatively simple to work the feet.

He looks amazing in hand. And it's another solid figure. Nothing flimsy about it at all.

Accessories are neat. He has his throwing stars, a totally cool sword (with scabbard) , a jar of mutagen Ooze and the coolest Krang communicator .

Gotta say , I am impressed.

Ok. Some pics. They don't do it justice.

Face off...

So. Two figures out so far, and both are excellent.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how their take on the Turtles themselves turn out.

Shredder looks amazing. Damn I keep getting tempted by Casey so much.

Been wanting to just get Shredder and eventually Bebop & Rocksteady if they make them.

But Casey Jones is looking awful tempting from all the great pictures.

But then I'd end up getting the Toitles and the Krang from this line also. And argh!!!

Yes.
He has several hands.
The fists, open palms and gripping hands all have the shorter blades.
There is only one pair of hands with the ling blades.

I like the look of them, but I wanted to display him holding the communicator so I am using one short and one long blade pair of hands. It's a feature of 1:6 design that allows for that personal choice of look. And I'm glad to see it in the SFA Turtles. On extras, I have to say that I don't think I'll ever display him with the extra head, but it's a nice addition to the set for anyone that wants to display him without any helmet or face plate.

Two questions:

Are these figures rubbery? I don't see how Raph's cross-arm accessory could be easy to snap on if it's all one solid piece so I'm thinking it has to be rubber.

And...anybody know what's up with all those other accessories we've seen in con photos...a mini cheapskate next to Leo and a turtle in a trench coat...? I really want a trench coat turtle and I really hope DreamEx isn't planning to take the Playmates variant hell model into the 1:6 world to make me buy more turtles.

if you handled other dream ex figures I would assume its the same thing. as for the cross arm, I think it might be a softer material, but might not be rubber, this is just for the cross arm part. Rest of the figure should be the same as casey and shredder

1. DreamEX didn't say what materials are being used. probably ABS, PVC, nothing out of the ordinary. It's hard to tell if anything is rubber but unlikely.

2. Probably coming with Michelangelo or Donatello. There's also a chance that it didn't budget out and got canceled.

Here's hoping! I think I saw one pic with all 4 in trench coats though ... or did I imagine that? So to only get 1 for 1 turtle would be a let down.

The description for Leo and Raph didn't say they would come with a trench coat. Probably there would be only 1 included with the future turtles which I'm guessing is Donnie because the trench coat turtle was displayed behind him.
There might be a chance that there's some pre-order bonus that includes 2-3 more trench coats.

Trench coat only w/Donnie? ...Would effectively be a throwback to the playmates undercover Don figure, no? Guess only time will tell. Or better toy fair pics.

You're going to love the Shredder.

I think we're 2 weeks away from Raph and Leo being rolled out.
Hopefully DX have learned how to spell Raphael by then !!! Haha!!

As I wait for the release (hopefully) this month of Raph and Leo, I was inspired by the cover of the latest Batman / TMNT crossover!!

Loving the idea of HQ in a Turtles story.

I was able to get in touch with Dream Ex yesterday.
Confirmed the trench coat and hat will come with Donatello.
Didn't get an answer when I express that fans will be interested in getting 4 outfits to fit all 4 turtles.

Leo and Raph arrived. Heads are definitely smoother than the body but do look better in person. Some accessories (comm) feel really cheap and some really nice ... the weapons rock. Metal! My raph has what looks like a fingerprint, and some missing paint flecks, on his plastron where it looks like someone pushed a still-drying figure into the foam... Leo has the fingerprinty pattern too but all his paint fortunately still there. Their plastrons are very very squishy so it may also be a ripple effect in the paint from being depressed and not a fingerprint. If it weren't for the size and accessories I'd say they feel kinda cheap...still happy with them though I wish I didn't have paint chips on Raph.
