Annual Super Bowl "WTF" Commercial
Okay, I hate football. I hate most all sports, but I do sit down to watch the Super Bowl for two things.
1. Halftime Show 2. The Annual "WTF" Commercial Now, almost every year, something happens. At some point during the Super Bowl, a commercial is aired that makes no sense, has no purpose, no company logo, product placement, and rational thought to speak of. I remember a few years back, there was this commercial. Two men and their dancing monkey sit in the gradge and play polka music. You sit waiting for them to finish and see wtf they are advertising, but they finish, and the screen goes black. The end. Last year, there was a shorter one, but it happened again. Black screen with white text. It says, "Is your Refridgerator running? Well, you'd better go catch it". Following that, you see a big fat refridgerator with arms and legs (guy in a suit) running down the street laughing crazily like he just got out of prison. Black screen. No logo, no anything. WTF? So, who the fu*k is paying for the air time for these thirty seconds of random hysterical comedy? It keeps me watching, that's for sure. Makes me wonder what crazy sh*t is going to happen this time. Anyways, where is this sh*t comming from?

Mostly people from the 70's/early 80's I think. Either way, I always watch the Halftime show. Always. Then the screwball commercials.

I suppose I had that comming after all this time.
Honestly, I'm a bit more diverse than that now (no to say I don't still like it too). No more living under a rock. I used to be such a music fan years ago, but something made me change. Don't know what. Either way, no more shunning everything. No more. never again.

I'll probably be watching the Puppy Bowl instead. I don't know if I could sit through a whole game with teams I don't much care about just for a couple commercials. Those commercials end up online the next day, anyway.

Okay, so I watched the superbowl. The first half of it anyways. The game itself is excrutiatingly boring. They waste two hours to play 30min, it's deadly. Anyways, looks like the Seahawks were owned, which might be a good thing or maybe not.
So the reason why I wanted to see this was this commercial. If there was one, I missed it. Who has seen it? And what was it about? I saw the Stones though, which was pretty neat...

I saw the Jackie Chan Commercial for Diet Pepsi.
In it, the Diet Pepsi can signs a contract to star with JC in a action movie. Except, unlike Jackie, it won't be doing its own stunts. It has a stunt double. which is the Diet Coke can, and it gets STOMPED to death. Heh, I guess the Coke vs. Pepsi war is back full blast.

I couldn't quite get superbowl-ads.com to work for me (probably insane traffic right now) so here's the big ol' list on AOL: http://sports.aol.com/nfl/superbowlads
The only one I saw that had me rolling was the Sprint ringtone one in the 3rd quarter. I think I suffer from an affliction that triggers great bouts of laughter whenever I hear Yakety Sax.

I always look forward to the commercials.
This year.....all I gotta say is whoever thought "Brown and Bubbly" was a good catch phrase for Diet Pepsi should be shot! The best AWWWWWW one was the baby clydesdale pulling the wagon with the secret help of the big boys.
