I can't get over how poor that looks to me now. The evolution of tech is such a trip.

There's no such thing as a 1080p DVD player -- only Blu-ray has 720p and 1080p. DVD's resolution caps at 480p, which is the same as Youtube's resolution from 15 years ago.

I think it upscales with HDMI, that's what I was thinking, so not the same thing.

Yeah it's up scaling the dvd signal so you're both partially right. DVD still sells, BR not so much, physical media is dead and a niche product in the age of streaming, get the scraps you still can, it'll only get worse.

Weellll... technically yes. But Sony had a format that was called AVCHD. You could burn that format on normal DVD with an HD resolution. Of course you could only put like maybe 30 min on one DVD and some DVD player couldnt even read it but heck, I was surprised it even existed.

I still really do wish they'd do a second one that continues the cliff hanger.

About two years after his first viewing, I and my nephew, now almost 4, watched this together today. He surprisingly made it through the whole time when he was only 2, and enjoyed it more-so at the age he is now and has a grasp on who the Turtles are.

I just hated to have to tell him "maybe someday" when he said something about there might be another one, after seeing the cliff hanger, knowing that we will probably never see it.

Come on, Nick, just a second one to make it a two-parter to wrap up that Shredder-ruled dystopia. And this kid wants to see Shredder.
