I really can't decide which colouring is better. They both have their problems but positives. Somehow the fan colouring looks a little more authentic for when the comic was made. The vibrant colours of the official are good yet the gritty feel of the original comic is sort of gone. I kind of wish the TMNT was coloured in the same colours First Comics did.

I think I prefer the fan version. It's easier on my eyes and feels a little more "organic" for lack of better word.
Still, I do enjoy the new colors. They work well for me and I'm excited to see more. |

The fan coloring seems more appropriate for the time the series was originally released.
It's going to be weird having the original black and white issues, and then have these newer color issues. |

So who is picking this up on Wednesday?
Honestly, I'm torn. I definitely want to own the conclusion is physical form, but it's hard for me to justify another physical thirty issues, with the space I have. Not much of a digital reader. I think I'll go ahead and pick up issue #1 to show my support, then wait until either hardcovers are released or the conclusion arrives to purchase more. Who knows though, if the coloring truly blows me away, I may find myself addicted to the series in a way I didn't expect. |

I'm holding out for a trade or something, but I'll see my way to checking out a few issues 'cause it's my favorite series.

I’m getting 3 issues from my LCS and 2 in the mail from Planet awesome.
Don’t know if my store is going to get the RI for this book but I plan on getting them all. It’s a small run so it won’t be hard to collect for. |

I'll definitely pick up the whole run. I want to give support for ventures like this, in the hopes of future projects like The Forever War. Additionally, I don't have a complete original run of Vol. 3 anyways.

I don't think we need to make a thread for each issue so here is the preview for the first issue: https://www.flickeringmyth.com/2018/...ban-legends-1/

Why wouldn't we? IDW and every issue of Universe gets one. Is Image TMNT Vol. 3 not deserving of such?

I'll pick up each of the 23+3 issues.
Cover A for the first 23. Then I'll see what they offer. |

Because it's over 20 years old and most who were interested before have already read it years ago?

Volume 3 became famous among the TMNT comic book fans yet has probably not been read by many. A poll would be interesting. |

Why would it? When something isn't "punishable by law" most people are going to see/read things in whatever way they can. Even if most of those people are otherwise usually honest.

The thought of waiting, month after month, for two years... to FINALLY get to the new material...
Still seems like a very odd business choice. I would think a pair of hardbacks or a few TPBs would seem like the safer option, even with IDW's reprinting goals. I mean, they didn't do this for Mirage or Archie... although, did they reprint single issues for City at War?

I don't see that happening, but it could happen.
